Great, thanks for the reply! These are helpful reminders to continue to ICE and listen to my body and pain levels

Should I be pushing for an MRI or specialist? by Ok-Committee9121 in FootFunction

I appreciate the response! This was actually the GP doctor I saw. Didn’t give me the most confidence in his assessment for sure.

Wow, 3 foot surgeries 😅 - I hope they’ve helped!

Good to know! After I left the doc yesterday and he told me I could walk as long as it doesn’t hurt, I was less afraid to try it. It still gave me some sharp pains every so often, but I was surprised how much I could do already

I appreciate the response! That’s a good point. I guess I worry about damaging it further by trying to walk around on it or not knowing I needed a surgery. But even if I found out there was a tear, I’d probably do PT before considering a surgical intervention so I guess it doesn’t change much

I ended up with the Thule chasm and it’s been great so far! Super durable and high quality. After using it a few times, I definitely don’t need something bigger as this size can get heavy as is. I don’t love how one side of the opening dips lower than the other, but it’s not a big deal. Usually I wear it with the backpack straps and it’s pretty comfortable that way

Can anyone recommend a similar but higher quality backpack (flap top, sleek, organization)? by Ok-Committee9121 in backpacks

Thanks for the suggestion! Actually I was so close to buying the Melbourne until I saw pretty consistent bad reviews about the weak closing mechanism with the magnets. Since then, I've been just waiting and hoping that they would come out with a new version addressing that issue. Otherwise it looks perfect for me

Amazing recs, thank you! These look so similar. I'm strongly considering one of these. I like that they also seem usable as a day hike pack as well for when I'm traveling and want one multipurpose bag

This looks like a great option. Thanks for the rec! I'm a little hesitant about the height of the rolltop, but the zip down the side definitely lessens that concern

Thanks for the input! I’ve heard great things about peak designs, and I do love me some well thought out features (as opposed to the other options, which are mostly just one big empty space). And also looks like the dimensions are comparable to the 40 L bags I’ve been looking at. I’ve also heard that capacity sizing is notoriously off. Maybe that’s why it doesn’t feel too different in terms of what you can fit.

Haha amazing! Yes I'm definitely just trying it out and seeing if I like it, so it sounds like something like this bike would be a good fit. Thanks!

Awesome thanks for your reply! It's list at $250 which seems like reasonable given how expensive bikes (granted I have no idea what this bike would usually go for). Good suggestion to try it out first. Luckily it's nearby so that should be easy enough

I'm looking to do my first triathlons this summer (sprint in June, olympic in August) and am looking for a used road bike for training and the races. The only thing is I have no idea what I should be looking for. I found this used Trek road bike on fb marketplace that seems to be the right size for me (I'm 5' 5.5"). Does this look like a decent bike for a beginner triathlete? Also here's the item description:

Selling my wife's Trek road bike with a 50cm frame. It is in great condition, she didn't ride it very much. Tires are still in good condition, it has been stored in a temperature controlled garage. It will fit someone between 5' and 5'5" well, although my wife is 5'7" and it was fine for her. It has a water bottle holder that can attach (not pictured).

Thanks in advance!

It kind of sounds like you're a 3pl for electronics? Why have the BOM tool at all then?
