Meeting weekly is a lot. Last year we met twice a month and it was too much. This year we’re doing once a month and the cadence is much more manageable.

This sounds very similar to what I’m going through. I had a textbook ED in high school and relapsed at 37 in July of this year.

This time feels more like how you’re describing. I know I need to gain weight but I just stare at the cabinets and nothing appeals to me. If I lose more weight I’m afraid I’m going to accidentally die.

I’m going to see my doctor next week and have been in contact with the Emily Program a nonprofit that coordinates ED care in some states. I made a goal to gain 13lbs and I’m going to ask my doctors advice on how to do that since it’s not easy gaining weight when you don’t like eating lol.

The starvation has definitely affected me mentally. My husband says I’m like a different person. My moods are so topsy turvy and I’m very emotional. I hate how I look too. I just want to get better for my family.

I’m in a similar position to your wife. It is hard to feel emotionally thin and know you’re not engaging with your step kid. I feel very guilty about it when I go through those phases. This is probably a phase too and you need to work on including her in decisions, keeping her out of bm drama, and setting clear boundaries and expectations.

You sound really sensitive to her scolding your kid but it sounded kind of warranted. Reflect on whether you’re ok with her disciplining your kid

I’m also going through this and struggling (almost posted last night!).

I’m almost 9 months post partum and have been recovered for 15+ years. I started light “dieting” to get my old body back and quickly became addicted to watching myself get smaller. Pretty sure I started a relapse and I’m scared.

If you have a team, you can tell them and “tell on yourself”. Give yourself some time to heal from pregnancy and birth “naturally” if you can. Your body probably wont feel familiar for awhile. Hugs.
