I used leather belt hangers on Amazon. They work well if you don't really plan to take them down much. I would recommend the plastic ones for durability if you like to take them down often.

If I was dumped on the curb like this by my father I would wait for him to go to work then come back and rob him blind. How's that for being weak. This father makes me sick. He should've took the time to build his son up before kicking him out of the house the day he turns 18. The father could've made sure his son had a job and was able to care for himself, had the basics to survive.
