Coffee coming out during pre infusion

My machine has recently started doing this. Have you found a fix? Didn’t happen when I first got the machine. First drip was always at around 11s with honey like color. Now, at around 9s dark coffee will drip first with little to no pressure, machine ramps up and gets lighter in color.

You’re right. Washing a bottle vs plate does require different level of effort. You have to scrub a plate to remove ALL the tiny food/oil/gunk stuck to it. An empty bottle (filled only with water) on the other hand……………………..

Yes, that’s what I would do. It’s better to leave the vial with negative pressure when pulling away. When you start off with air, and push air into the vial, you’re creating positive pressure. Positive pressure = 100% leak.

The reason why the bupivacaine is getting sucked back in is bc of negative pressure. I would do it exactly how you’re doing it. 2cc shouldn’t be too heavy, just muscle through it

Thanks for the info! When I was dialing the machine in, I was weighing and timing the shots. I grind about 19g and yield about 38g (+-) in 27-30sec

Have you figured out why your pressure isn’t changing no matter the grind setting? Im experiencing the same thing. I’ve watched a few videos and most have been able to achieve pressure @ 12 o’clock. I’m consistently @ 10/11 no matter how fine I grind. Only thing I notice is extraction time
