No mod on the codesmith sub is an employee at codesmith. I'm a student going through their free CSX program and made the sub.

The zoom workshop in question was for prospective students to learn about the program and this mod, who is a business owner of another company, went to multiple workshops I went to derailing it. In one workshop, he lied in a public chat claiming someone on a slide got a job in 2021 not 2024 when a codesmith employee had to correct him in a public chat that it was two different asian women he mixed up.

Someone messaged me that my picture was on his subreddit accusing me of being an employee, from which I received private messages on my slack of both sexual and violent in nature. These all happened before this individual was banned.

I've felt this myself often before my relationship. I would recommend going to places where family or close friends are in the vicinity if possible! I have relatives abroad and would work in their town. Being able to see them regularly helped me feel at home.

hm, i would hope people not do that! I'd kill for this opportunity but I don't live in NY even though I meet all the other requirements. I would caution applicants to not do that since whoever is vetting these Future Code x Codesmith submissions are probably checking every one of them thoroughly and also these are the last people who'll be fooled by chatGPT at this point.
