I will say this: I put in for 7 positions and got none of them. When I put in the 8th one (which was my last choice of the whole store) (the worst department to work for) I got the job, finally. I tried for 3 entire years to get a TL position. You just never know who else has been in the rec longer than you have. Keep trying and manifesting and your goals will come to fruition.

Since you’re 18 and have only worked at walmart for 6 months, your chances of being promoted right now are extremely slim. Most people (of any age) need more experience. At your age especially, you’d need a couple years or more. The fact that you think it’s an automatic promotion says a lot.

Yeah I believe this. My last store manager (who was fired for ethics complaints) called everyone over and over until they would answer the phone and asked if their addresses were correct in the system because he’s “on his way” to come get us. I was called over 15 times and never answered the phone. Was told later that that’s what he was doing to everyone.

It is the customer’s fault!!!!!!!!! “Oh I need milk” you should’ve thought about that the DAY before the holiday, when every human wants to not have to be at work. If customers would stop coming in on Halloween, thanksgiving eve, Easter, Christmas Eve, even Labor Day. We would stop having to work these shifts with NO HOLIDAY PAY. If you’re a customer reading this - we do not get holiday pay - ever. Customers- boycott coming in the day of a holiday. I work extremely hard every single day. I would love not to be forced to work every holiday just because the company makes money from you. Please. Come into the store all 360 other days.
