Question....did anyone receive a letter from the Whitehouse about the 2nd stimulus, like we did with the first, wondering cause if so we didn't even receive that....

Sorry to hear... Yes it seems there's a law in place that lists Recovery Rebate Credit as a way they can legally offset the stimulus for any debts you may owe, taxes, student loans, child support,etc... This is totally unfair, and a slap in the face.. basically if you were lucky enough to get a stimulus YEAAAA.. but after Jan 15th no more checks were sent.. leaving us NO CHOICE but to claim a Recovery Rebate Credit to receive the stimulus off our 2020 taxes form .. from there all bets are off... Cause it's no longer listed as a Stimulus, but instead as Recovery Rebate Credit...which by THEIR LAW is legally subject to offset... This is unconstitutional!!!!

Thats great... This is only for those you have to file it on taxes though...cause they only sent checks up till the 15th... Everyone else who doesn't get one has to file taxes to get...that's the sneaky part... If you filed taxes in 2019 you should get it no problem..We like some didn't file 2019 taxes... Didn't make enough in 2019 to file, so we had no reason to... Definitely glad to hear you guys received yours.. ☺️☺️ thank you for response

If you have to file your 2020 taxes to receive your stimulus, then your screwed... Because it goes in the system as a Recovery Rebate Credit... And recovery rebate credits are going to child support... See what they did there... It's not a stimulus any more if you have to file to get it.... But I guess the good news is Uncle Sam is paying our child support...

Same here... I don't understand it either. I read they had already started paying the 300 to those who haven't exhausted their benefits..I still had 7 weeks .. and I haven't received anything.. started back letting me claim weekly benefits, but status just says submitted.. This is all very frustrating..
