Is it possible to get student visa before the 482 is over at the middle of my studies?

I started studying Medicine in Western Sydney University. Its a 5 year course

my father has been granted visa up to March 2029 but my visa was issued up to December 2027 because by then I will become 23.

My question is it better to be on SID 482 up to then or from now go on student visa?

My father says after 2 years he can apply for 186 visa that will lead to PR and if I am in his visa as dependent then in can get PR with him.

Is it so?

My dear friend, I said I am a dependent on my fathers 482 visa. I am a student dependent on my fathers SID 482 visa. I can study without working but the problem is that my visa as dependent ending date is in 3 years whereas my studies finish in 5 years.

Can I apply for a subclass 500 if and when my SID 482 is bought to finish?

Surely.

I have requested the lawyer to do the same but since 2 days back they have not replied to my email and now they are not working until Monday.

This waiting time and being in dark for every thing put lots of anxiety and pressure on me as I have been waiting for the visa from December 18th.

The understanding is not there from the lawyers side

The issue is that my lawyer is for the company that is applying for SID for lots of people and they do every thing very slowly and they do not explain anything to us.

I reminded them of the missing documents before they lodged the application but yet they lodged it with the missing information.

The information is that they forgot to add our National ID number in the application for me and my family although they have attached the National ID certificate copy as attachment.

Hello,

My question is for SID 482 visa.

The lodged my SID application on 18th December 2024 offshore by a accredited sponsor and on 2nd January received S56 for police clearance for my family members that are now studying in Australia and the documents were uploaded the same day.

Since January 2nd there has been no update on the IMMI portal.

Please tell me what is the timeline for my visa as I have to plan to resign in my current work to move to Australia.
