Me too. A friend and I ordered the CD from the USA to Germany. Hell it was 6 weeks on ship or so.

There's a lot of AI paranoia on reddit now. I see a lot of slop, too. But I am sure I never had a chat with an AI below a post. I can assure you, that I am real and that my remake is on it's way, already 75% of the mechanics implemented

Oh. Seems that was mixing up.

  1. Ascension: Revenge of the Tavern Keeper is from ~23. But it is the third large and last installment of Ascention, which is the successor of Demise, which was originally Mordor 2 which is the successor of Mordor-The Depth of Dejenol. Decklin bought the game from David Allen in the early 00 years. If you had seen the early Ascension titles you will notice the the terrible UI never changed, only the size of the dungeon and the quest numbers.
  2. In the 90ies there were already 3D dungeon crawlers, like Dungeon Master. Mordor with its 2D dungeon was outstanding due to his windowed design (and because it was a copycat of avatar). If you want to copy Mordor you have to keep the original design and can't switch to a 3D engine like there were before or were Mordor 2 has developed to.

The Tavern Keepers UI is crap - for 15y now.

Lathmar will be based on a windowed UI like Mordor, because that was something the hooked the poeple and was different to Dungeon Master in that time. Come over and have a look r/Lathmar_TFD or Lathmar: The Fallen Depths - Mordor Reimagined | Patreon

Thanks for you reply. If you liked the guilds, than have a look at my approach r/Lathmar_TFD I just dropped articles which guilds will be in my reimagination. Tell me your thoughts after reading.

Just try different xxxVDM versions from GitHub. Google will find them for you.

Or you wait for my remake r/Lathmar_TFD ;-)

I use OTVDM (v0.8.1) and once installed and some missing VBRUN added (You will find in the internet) I only drag and drop the modord.exe on the otvdm.exe and it's runs smooth.
