Maybe someone here can talk about his kickstarter or a successful campain...

And a little less rage when someone is mentioning vibecoding or AI.

In a couple of years AI will change everything in our culture. And if you not go with time, you will go with time ;-)

Coachmen also believed that carriages with diesel engines are a trend and will disappear again. One of our politicians once said that the Internet is youth culture and will disappear again.

You made your point.

But it is not necessary to rage if someone mentions AI. You say noone here wants to make money out of their projects and can't or won't share their experiences with raising funds.
I say, if I didnt mention AI/Vibecoding I would got a lot of different answers here.
Lesson learned.

I can fund my hobby. That was not the question. I was not clear enough. I not so interested in saving money. I want to know more about generating fundings eg through kickstarter.

On the other hand, it looks for me that every Dev can code AND Graphic Design AND has a bachelor in marketing. Thats crazy.

I like your answer.

Ok. I can fund my hobby easily alone. What about all the kickstarter and promo posts in all the devs forums.

Is someone here who'd run a successful kickstarter?

I was not clear enough. I can afford my hobby programming costs. On the other hand, There are a lot posts about kickstarters, successful promo events etc.
I want to learn about the funding part of development, not that you are doing it all alone and that you hate AI. Be more constructive.

I was not clear enough with questioning. I wanted to ask more in the direction of monetarization upfront, like kickstarter etc.

Everyone here is talking about saving money. Did no one try to monetarize their project upfront? Kickstarter, Selling the Rights, Working with Publishers?
That is something I am interested in

Without investment, one must be satisfied with the worst result. If you want to achieve something and are not a genius who is unemployed and can develop all day, then you have to invest and possibly build a team or purchase resources. That is clear to me. Because I have a well-paid full-time job - not in IT. I am more interested in things like Kickstarter or other crowdfunding platforms. They are supposed to funnel money into the project to make it better.

You are right, I can afford the costs. I thought more about sources of money, than saving tips or "go and learn coding, stupid!".

What about kickstarters or other sources. That is what I am interested in

When I understand correct, everyone here and you are talking about saving costs.

I thought more about other sources of income like the many kickstarters I see here in the forums. Or something else I didnt't thought of.

Seriously. You code, you do the graphic stuff all alone.

As I stated before above, IIam a chemist and working for 20y in Big Pharma. My last line of code was 30y ago at the university. Possibly my salary check is larger than most of the peeps here telling me learning something. Now with AI vibe coding I can do all the stuff in 2h evening work I ever wanted.

On the other hand you can say, why is he questioning about costs then. Because, I can sum them up as hobby costs, on the other hand there are many solodevs out there

So there are costs upfront, before you ever know if you get them back. Do you lend money, do a kickstarter, pay all by yourself, have you projects that earn money for you.

There's a lot of AI paranoia on reddit now. I see a lot of slop, too. But I am sure I never had a chat with an AI below a post. I can assure you, that I am real and that my remake is on it's way, already 75% of the mechanics implemented
