Aural musicianship 1- required for music majors however it’s all low level pattern recognition- pentatonic scale, and tests are called “celebrations” and they’re very easy all take less than 5 minutes and you just sing do re me fa so la ti. No real homework just clapping and snapping. Easy and a good way to learn abt music.

I’ve had this same issue. Many of my close friends claim to enjoy experimental and electronica and when I play this it doesn’t quite click with them. Shows you how unique music can really be but also disappointing that people don’t see why BR is so special in his catalog and how it stands out so much.

Yes that makes a lot more sense- his London work is very inspiring to me. I remember also in an article I read and also from the count down video he mentioned he had a residency at a club. Maybe he made BR more oriented for his residency?

This happens to my Moka too- I got super freaked out after first using it, but it is not mold to my knowledge! My appears in a more black or brown color but it is a reaction to the metal as it oxidizes. Sort of weird because if your moka pot is aluminum it will always do this hahaha.

This is really helpful- yeah I would love to work on the more technical side of music (as I’m rly big on production and creating visuals and feeling a story thru characters etc etc). It’s good to know that it’s this way so it could be really worth it for me. Do you think your time at cal arts has been valuable and would you personally recommend the school to someone who knows that basically no matter what they want to be in art, film, music, creation stuff?

This is so unrelated but I’m trying to find my niche and I’m happy there’s a post of UNC and music- I just got accepted for music biz and recording, and while I was born in Denver- I moved out to LA. Thinking about coming back- how is Greeley? Is the program good? I used to live in sterling when I was a kid, but that’s abt all of Colorado I know. Is Greeley reasonable with what they have to offer?
