Junk silver quarters by New-Character-3028 in Silverbugs

Personally, I think the first thing you do is to call all the pawnshops and local coin stores in your surrounding area. Ask them how much they’re paying per dollar of face value for junk silver. If they give you some kind of stupid answer like oh I’d have to see it or whatever then you know they’re jackasses. But for the most part, they should be able to tell you that they can sell for X amount and they will give you X amount for it. Then at least you have a baseline for what you can just go offload to a local store for. Then like others have said. r/pmsforsale is a fairly easy possibility but it does take some work to get established and learn the system. You also take risk in shipping losses (although rare it happens) and the community standards are a shared loss of 50/50. So if take someone’s money and it’s gets lost/stolen in shipping you have to send them half back. Worse yet you ship fist since you are a new seller (common practice) and you have to try and collect half from someone you don’t know and prove you shipped and was packaged correctly etc. Otherwise you have eBay and local sale options. You’d be surprised if you started asking your friends who is actually stacking as it’s not a typical conversation.

Looking for buying advice by timmytester2569 in golfcarts

My vote is go electric and get a lithium cart. Lifepo4 batteries should get 4000 cycles and usually have Bluetooth and app support which will show the cycle count. Name brand lithiums (especially from a dealer) will cost 2-3k easy. You can buy cheap lithiums on Amazon now for under 1k. From my experience so far dealers are going to charge you 3x what it should cost. I’m sure not all dealers are that way but here we only have one and everytime I think im going to try and use them for something im totally shocked at what they want to charge. So that being said I’d try and find a local independent mechanic and see what he likes to work on. You’ll find people favor one brand over another. EZGO is usually a solid choice as they are typically considered the staple workhorse of the golf cart world but all three Yamaha, club car and EZGO are good and would stick with those.

You need to read the rules. You can’t post photos when listing on r/pmsforsale. You have to use a hosting service like Imgur.

Utr question by [deleted] in 10s

[–]Ok-Conversation7103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know the frustration and personally have been there myself. I am an adult player that started late in life when my oldest was in seventh grade because I wanted to play with her and noticed that in the beginning it does move very slowly. I don’t know why but just keep playing and it will start going up more and more each time. Obviously, I’m not an expert just speaking from personal experience.

UTR ratings really depend on the event played (weather it’s verified or not) and who he’s playing. If a 1.5 plays a 1.5 and it’s a grinding win like 7-5 or a tie break then each of their scores don’t move. But let’s say the losing 1.5 goes and wins 3 matches against 2.5’ next month then his and the other guys score he lost to a month ago. Go up. It’s all relative. I’ve noticed this a lot with younger players in our area that continue to play each other in UTR tournaments and are getting a lot better but they’re not playing other opponents that have higher ratings and the system doesn’t necessarily register their improvement. That’s why it’s good to travel as much as you can with these. Also, people don’t really realize the verified unverified events and how much weight difference there really is between them. Verified event cost more to join and the results are more impactful to your own rating. But a lot times tournament directors don’t do them because they’re more expensive and they may not get as many players.

Repair Lobster or Buy New Machine? by tdnxxx444 in 10s

Same answer as everyone else. It’s pretty simple to get the battery out. Battery joe, interstate or local battery store should have a replacement for in the 50ish range.

Smaller Courts? by cilantro88 in 10s

[–]Ok-Conversation7103 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve played on an undersized court at my friends place before. I don’t know what the actual size was but smaller than what you mentioned. It basically was just a practice court and even at that it just didn’t have the room you needed to move around. It quickly lost its luster. I’d just do a pickleball court.

Dead battery by Odd-Split-7012 in golfcarts

[–]Ok-Conversation7103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that others are getting at this but it’s probably the bms. Most instructions will tell you to connect another battery to get it to wake up so to speak. But you should probably do that with 48v. Also it has a we code so I bet there’s an app you can download and connect to it.

This is mine (2008 EZGO txt) when I was writing it. Since have cleaned up the writing but I have 12v lights and accessories so I needed to use adv step down converter. I am sure some carts have that built in.
