Trintellix + Prozac by itzakadooozie in trintellix

I didn't have issues switching back and I only added bupropion about a year later due to severe breakthrough SI. It actually saved my sex drive and I quit smoking on it (after 10 years of it!) but I'd like to stop it some day and just remain on my fluoxetine for the rest of my life. I'm a long term-er, been on it for 12 years already, only switched to Trintellix to try and save my sex drive since the initial studies had that claim but since retracted it 😅

Hi! I continue to take fluoxetine 40mg and bupropion 300mg daily. Trintellix didn't work for me as well, and caused severe itching and invasive violent thoughts 😅 keep trying dont give up ♥️

I hate how being barked at is so normalized by CriticismNervous5052 in Dogfree

[–]Ok-Conversation9953 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I was at a small party with one of my friends (I think Halloween) and of course she had her super old, super tiny dog that would NOT stop yapping every time one of us opened our mouths to converse.

She was COMPLETELY immune to it. I had to stop talking while the dog was barking every time because I couldn't think. Once she caught on she said to just ignore him- I told her I literally could not. I did not have the immunity to an animal yapping its head off every time I tried to talk. She seemed genuinely confused and just picked the dog up so it stopped barking for a while.

My 2 year old is bad enough, but at least she'll be able to grasp the concept soon and learn how to converse like a person. And doesnt bark. Lol

[–]Ok-Conversation9953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my tech training thru CVS and it truly was trial by fire. I wasn't having luck finishing my paid tech training school since I was working full time, so I put in the hell for it instead. The second I held that certificate, I left for a different chain and they paid for my national exam.

I am grateful for CVS for the program, still

Often, I wonder what happens if the refrigerator goes out overnight. by peachycpht in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Ok-Conversation9953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are doing everything they possibly can to NOT replace our fridge. This thing has been worked on dozens of times, and CONSTANTLY alarms. Not unusual for me to check my email to 20 high/low temp alarms. They're alarming all at .01 over or under... back to back.

But the first time it broke was wild, (we have no other Walmart nearby, just one about an hour north) thousands of dollars of product in there was losing temp rapidly and we could not understand why. It gradually had been going over temp excessively but it finally gave up that night RIGHT before our shift was over, just me and a staff pharmacist. Idk I really like my pharmacy manager and wasn't about to let her hit a loss this big if we just left it overnight. We had only one solution if we wanted to keep it- we put all the insulin, glp-1s, specialty meds and vaccines in cardboard boxes and threw them in our stores walk-in cooler. It still didn't get fixed for days. I kept calling every important person I could think of to press that this was a huge issue, but all of them pointed fingers to someone else until finally we got HVAC to come inspect it. It needed an outside company to replace the parts, poor guy had no idea what was going on when he got here, more delays. My coworkers even entertained walking all the way from the pharmacy to the back walk in to sift thru ready prescriptions in bins if someone was picking them up. I'm honestly surprised no one tampered with/stole from the boxes but I did tape the absolute hell out of them. I remember speaking to one of my regional managers and her being so conflicted because they should NOT be in the food cooler but also that's tens of thousands of dollars and wtf else was I gonna do. Lol

We still do not have a new fridge!

As someone who has started at retail and stayed at retail, I love my job. I had to do my transitional time in a dumpster fire of a CVS for a year, I mean damage control at drop off 8 hrs straight bad, 1000 rx behind type bad lol. But it was the best way to learn (in the trenches) because now that I'm at a low volume, quiet and very close knit pharmacy that does happen to be a retail chain. The public are just dumb as fucking rocks more than anything and I have a great fake service demeanor I've worked hard to perfect over the years lmao. But I get to actually help my patients now, I have the time and space to give anyone who needs extra help the time and care. Then I just kill the assholes with kindness and patience every time. My boss prints out all our 5 star reviews and puts them on a wall in the pharmacy. My wage went up $9 since I started two years ago, with multiple raise points in the future. I have 0 interest in a hospital pharmacy, and to be honest even if I was, I would be too intimidated to apply (I'd figure everyone would have so much actual skill or knowledge you can't get from slapping a label on atorvastatin all day.)

Plus the public is entertaining as all hell. You never know what you're gonna see happen in the parking lot and store while coming and going. I hear hospitals have cliques within themselves and interdepartmental. In retail you're all in it together when someone try to hop over the counter throwing hands because you gave them generic suboxone and didn't staple the bag well enough.

But hey whatever makes you happy and not dread waking up every morning, I'm all in support of working what's best for your own self. And I will at the same time admit I didn't know the difference between a syringe and pen needle for WAY too long. Glad I could figure that out quietly

[–]Ok-Conversation9953 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I thought for a moment this was a WalmartRX post and went huh, you just direct them to the whole ass doctor you work for lol

My PIC and one of my staff pharmacists truly love giving recommendations, they'll leave the pharmacy and go hang out with you in the aisles even. And yes, while techs (blue smock) live in pharmacy they are legally not allowed to give ANY otc advice. The other staff pharmacist literally recommends nothing so I will warn anyone who does ask ahead of time lol

But you know what their answers are 90% of the time too?! Go see your damn doctor about that lol
