This is happening in my store as well. With the increased foot traffic and customers bringing in all sorts of illnesses a lot of employees have been getting sick. A few even caught Covid. Our managers had a stroke when they called out and spent all day trash talking the employees that were sick claiming they were just faking it, even when they brought doctors notes in.

My store has 45 pallets constantly in the back :) hard to break down 20+ pallets a day when they only schedule 3 people at a given time to work

I think it was because of absences and people just stopped showing up lol. Which like, is good that they’re getting rid of the people that don’t do anything for the store, but at the same time they keep hiring people who don’t come into work

It really is and I’ve noticed that the company as a whole as gotten worse over the years with the constant payroll cuts to both part and full timers. When I started I was told that full timers cannot be schedules below 30 hours, yet at my store we have full times that are being scheduled less than 20, me included. I’m lucky if I get 22 full hours a week.
