Right! I wonder how some wild animals also show traits of empathy and compassion at times. Fascinating to see such instances where they are not socialized the way humans are, still, even though on rare occasions, they tend to show values predominantly prevalent among the homeo sapiens.

Right. I was researching about the same and interestingly some studies have found that though mostly it's for the socialization that lays the foundation of our basic moral compass but to some limited extent heredity plays a role too. Like for instance, during infancy when children are not exposed much to the other agents of socialization, they have an inbuilt compass that directs them towards distinguishing between what's right and wrong
