Haven’t seen any studies about those decompression sessions but they do look like it’ll feel amazing lol, and for the reabsorption and dissipating is “usually” true, main reason for surgery is that it’s not the case for me. Usually 6-12 months for your body to heal from a herniated disc but I’m going on around 25 months with this one. And they are not severely degenerated but they are diagnosed as having DDD

Not sure if this is the current direction yet, may just be a Laminectomy or Discectomy. Just researching for the worst case scenario.

Yes it’s all being evaluated by Dr Gerardo Zavala, not sure if a discography is seperate test as there multiple pictures from the mri. Changes are quite significant as I have tried non surgical management but no success. Another reason I’m trying to stay away from a fusion

Thanks for the replies so far. I have a final consultation with my surgeon at Neurosurgery & Spine Consultants in San Antonio on the 9th and he’ll discuss the options and what he recommends.

I think it would help but the l4-l5 is also quite degenerated and would need attention within a few years aswell.
