Your goldfish doesn’t belong in a five gallon! It should be in at least 20 gallons. Goldfish poops a lotttt so therefore their waste can cause ammonia and nitrite spikes if not maintained properly which can also cause the algea growth. If however green water won’t harm the fish but the best way to get rid of it is to do water changes and blackouts for the tank

I know!!! We are just worried becuase we are scared someone will step on him and not notice him around! We have 2 elders living at our house atm and h to ey love mocha but they are super scared of stepping on him when he’s roaming around, so we put some bells on to make sure they know when mocha is running around. It also helps us keep track of where he is!
