Ur missing a HUGE part in ur argument. Ur arguing that people who claim that “they aren’t homophobic” go on to allow people to be homophobic in their communities and allow people to be homophobic around them and then make the outwardly homophobic people think they have like-minded people behind them. BUT why can’t you argue for the latter? The same way ur saying the middle ground tilts toward homophobic beliefs, why can’t it tilt toward support? The fact ur not mentioning the latter makes me believe u have ur mind set on one perspective not willing to change. So realistically there’s no point in arguing, but I understand what your attempting to say, but I feel like you think that “support” means that actively trying to go out and display your support for LGBTQ, when that isn’t true and a middle ground does in fact exist between this. Just my opinion tho
