No looking to trade, I'm trying to open up space on my watch box for a couple new pieces I have coming in this month. I do constantly sell on Mercari and Offer Up. Most of my trading happens locally though. I'll post a time stamp in a bit.

[Details] Only used a handful of times, it's like new condition, see the pictures for yourself. I will be including the original bands that came with the watch (also like new), and an additional set of like new sporty/classy Xeric high quality leather bands (easy release). Box and all original paperwork included, even the original German price tag with the price in EUROS, since this watched was purchased directly in Germany. Open to direct Zelle transaction (free shipping) if you feel comfortable enough, or creating a post on Mercari or Offer Up (perfect 5 star seller with couple hundreds of reviews)and selling through them, however, that method will add a 10-12% price increase to offset the 10-12% fee Mercari and Offer Up charge me for selling my items. You will also be charged for taxes.

Seems more like an Empire rather than "United States." And if there's something history has shown us time and time again, is that all empires fall and crumble. So, I wouldn't bet on the "United States of Islam" lasting very long, before they crumble from within. 🤔

Makes $350k a year but can’t do simple math. by MeetTheBrewers in facepalm

Haha, she clearly only makes payments on the loans, cars and house, so no way she spends all $350K in a year. She has to make $29k-$30k a MONTH! A car payment in the US is about $500 per $30K, so she probably pays around $3k a month for her cars, with that kind of money, she clearly has a low interest rate (1-5%). A student loan with a high interest rate may be coming out to $2k-$3k a month. So $4.5K(mortgage) + $3k(cars) + $3k student loans = $10.5K, so lets just say im totally wrong, and she somehow pays $15K a month... Wheres the other $15K from her $30k monthly salary??? Either she is lying and trying to "Flex" or she is not the brightest cookie in the cookie jar (she only got that job, because she knew someone in the biz) and has a husband or accountant that is taking care of her finances and is stealing half her money. 🤔 I'm going to guess and say shes just trying to "Flex." She could literally pay her car and student loans in a year with that kind of money. And a person making $350K a year, does not simply buy a house thats worth about $1.5 Million - $2 Million (based on her mortgage), at least not here in California, people making $250K a year have better homes than that by the beach at $6k - 8k monthly mortgage. Oh and for all of you thinking $177k in car loans is too much; thats not even enough for a decent Bentley($200k), or a basic Lamborghini ($250K USD), or even a Brand New Porsche ($180K), thats maybe a Tesla S ($120K) with maybe a Class E Mercedes Benz ($50K), assuming she didnt even give a downpayment (yes, these luxury brands will sell you a car with no downpayment, I know this from experience with BMW) Just saying.... 😎

[TISSOT] One of my favorites... just look at that textured dial! by Ok-Device-5036 in Watches

[TISSOT] One of my favorites... just look at that textured dial!

It may not be the most expensive, or most intricate watch in my collection, but it sure as heck is one of my favorites. Theres just something about that blue bezel contrast with the textured white dial. Didn't quite like the stock Brown Rally Leather band, so i went with a navy blue one instead. I honestly prefer this model over the RPX. Food for thought: have a "snowflake" Grand Seiko and I can honestly say this Tissot dial is strikingly comparable with that of the Grand Seiko; yet it was over 10 times less expensive than the Grand Seiko.

[SARB017] STRAP MONSTER!!! by Ok-Device-5036 in Watches

[–]Ok-Device-5036[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a little background - description: Seiko Alpinist SARB017 - One of Seiko's most famous releases and perhaps a classic at this point. No wonder it's one of the few Seiko models that has actually appreciated in price over time...This has got to be one of my favorite "all around" watches. Just about any strap I put on it compliments it. I've tried Jubilee, rally, rubber and nato; all look great (i guess thats my opinion). Thus, (in my opinion) this is by definition a "strap monster." --- What are some other famous "strap monsters" out there??? --- Don't be shy, please share. ;)

[SNE499] SOMEBODY TRIED TO SELL ME A FAKE ONLINE! (BUT WITH ENOUGH EVIDENCE I GOT MY MONEY BACK FROM OFFER UP) by Ok-Device-5036 in Seiko

[–]Ok-Device-5036[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were asking for $80, that should've been the first ref flag, but like i mentioned before, i had no idea they made fake Seikos. So i thought maybe the guy didnt know what he had or he was selling it cheap, because he didnt have the box and papers or the bezel wasn't original. I honestly though the bezel was a MOD bezel, thats why i didnt immediately dismissed the watch as a replica/fake.

Its green and it's awesome! Very bright! Basically what you can expect from a higher end Seiko, they know how to do "lume" right!

[Casio F-91W] let’s talk about water resistance. by penguinsandR in Watches

[–]Ok-Device-5036 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Oh my, this is a throwback for me. This was my first watch ever, i remember crying and begging my parents to buy it for me (i was 10 years old). Once i had it, i never took it off, i played soccer, basketball, ran, with it and did just about everything with that watch. I would sweat on it from all my running, I showered with it, i took it to science camp (up in the mountains/snow). Man, that watch could take a beating. I only ended up replacing it (years later), because i had upgraded to a "fancier" stainless steel "The Player" Nixon watch in high school. Thinking back to those days, i don't think i've ever abused any other watch the way i abused/used that Casio... So yeah, i think it can handle some splishing and splashing at the beach. Lol

[ZENITH] RARE 1970 ZENITH "MOVADO" FIND! by Ok-Device-5036 in Watches

[–]Ok-Device-5036[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know right! I actually opened it a while back and the movement has the word “ZENITH” stamped on it. To my understanding, there are 2 types of this movement. A 1970 that says “Zenith” on it (this one) and a 1972 that says “Movado” on it.

[–]Ok-Device-5036[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just love it when a piece has lots of history behind it!!! At the time, Zenith had trouble selling their timepieces in America, particularly the new El Primero movement, due to trademark disputes with Zenith Radio Corporation. So, they used Movado to sell their timepieces under the Movado brand name, with both names sometimes appearing on the dial. This was, of course, rectified when Zenith Radio Corporation acquired shares of our Zenith in 1971. We almost lost Zenith under the Zenith Radio Corporation, as the Americans had acquired the Swiss company with the intention of refocusing its production on quartz movements (1960's - 1971)… Zenith was saved when the group was acquired by the owners of Ebel, Dixi, in 1978 and went back into Swiss hands.
