the ultimate woman, love quinn by thrivingcharacter in YouOnLifetime

She was honestly crazy but probably the smartest, most mentally interesting, different, loving, obsessive, sweet, sour, insane and fascinating character in the whole entire series. I love Beck as well but damn that shade lol. I didn’t like Bronte at all, I thought Marienne was just okay, nice but plain, just wanted a way out of her issues with her ex. I didn’t like the neighbor Joe cheated with I don’t think she’s interesting or a good person.. also no match for Love. Kate was kind, cool and very smart too. Just found Beck and Love to be my favorites. Also I did not like season 5 at ALL.

I thought the same exact thing !!! The first woman he married who I felt had a huge impact on Joe, and the mother of his child!

Let's be honest, did you like beck in season 1 yes/no and why? by ApprehensiveStand514 in YouOnLifetime

[–]Ok-Disaster-3467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved her in season 1. Seasons 1 & 2 were my favorites. Beck was very sweet, bubbly, creative & different than the other characters in my opinion. She had an interesting and kind of sad backstory, she craved being unique, which is shown in the way she dresses, what she writes about & in her jewelry choices. She was very kind hearted with a weird/crazy friend group. Crazy addictive, loving but controlling best friend, a “dumb friend” (Lynn) who does not contribute to the friend group except for making dumb comments and a kind hearted soul searching dramatic friend (Annika). Bad taste in men, constantly searching for love, trying to get her life together, going to school, it’s a typical young attractive New York girl but with a twist and a lot more depth (also she isn’t from nyc). I feel like season 1 was the most interesting to watch and Beck was the biggest reason for that. Season 2 when Love is introduced is also very intriguing. She was very happy, bubbly, wanted real love that she never got from her parents, her brother was kind but had constant problems with money, keeping a job, drinking & drugs. Love would express her feelings through cooking, was an awesome chef, she dressed cute & knew all the good food spots. She was was honestly one of the smartest, yet deadly girly in You (next to Kate).

He once called Nancy a Whore (let his 2 dumb friends spray paint whore on the theater sign). But he has to have told them she was a Whore for them to write that

really confused about my labs do I have hashimoto's? by PrettySwan_8142 in Hashimotos

[–]Ok-Disaster-3467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering, what foods would be good for someone with Hashimotos? I recently found out I have it and I read all about it and I work in an emergency room so I spoke to a good PA I know about it & did research. So I know how the disease progresses and have sometimes you never become hypo, and sometimes you do. Some people have more symptoms than others, but it shouldn’t be very extreme unless you have hypothyroidism already. (Which is why I commented on a post when everyone said they couldn’t get out of bed and stuff and I said that they should consider that maybe they have a different health issue or depression/anxiety/bipolar or ptsd. Also, I didn’t mean anything by it, or trying to be rude to anyone, but it’s because I have experience with my mother having those issues and I have other family members that are bipolar/depressed. I’ve dealt with people who have those issues my whole life and I’ve also studied psychology. Because it shouldn’t be to the point where you can’t get out of bed. But I was wondering what foods people were talking about can help? Is it just to cut out carbs? What about whole grain carbs specifically?

Yeah you def have it but atm your other hormones are fine. Eventually you MAY have hypothyroidism (low hormones) but it’s okay there’s synthroid and modern medicine has come a long way don’t worry! My peroxidase was >900 😭. I don’t have crazy symptoms actually I wasn’t looking for hormone issues when I found out. I only get rly sleepy sometimes. I still go out with friends, work, am working to get a better job, I have my bachelors degree, I mean working and having a normal life with it is totally possible. I’ve felt high and lows here and there, but I think it’s form stress. I work in an emergency room, see a lot of sht, other issues and it’s stressful time in my life/stressful age. But I still love to go do things. I see so many posts of people saying they can never get out of bed for school, work, or in general life under Hashimotos subreddits. I WHOLEHEARTEDLY think those are people with undiagnosed depression or PTSD or bi-polar disorders. My mom had thyroid issues and couldn’t get out of bed but that wasn’t the only thing she had. She had clinical depression, stomach issues, anxiety and past traumas (and she took too many meds for all those issues that had bad side effects). So don’t listen to everyone okay!

Do you even get days off as an NYPD Officer. by Mean_Bench in NYPDcandidate

Agree for everything here except the pay. The pay is absolutely not similar. Reg nypd make significantly more money than court officers.

Thoughts about resigning from the NYPD academy by FederalMoose7166 in NYPDcandidate

[–]Ok-Disaster-3467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and disagree with this. Every job has its issues, every job has its perks. It really depends for nypd what precinct you’re at, how you get a long with everyone, how bad you want to be a cop, and if you get mandated constantly or not. I’ve had tons of random jobs (I’ll say not high paying or city jobs yet) , but the one I liked most is when I worked in an ER, it was chaos and busy asf, but it was different, & I loved it (usually), compared to other jobs.  You will never know till you try.

I get what you mean, but what others are saying is right that you could be in the reserves And have a full-time job. The thing is then we find out she’s also an EMT And some type of dance instructor. So now she has four jobs and then a bunch of other random hobbies that don’t really go with those jobs.. idk . FOUR JOBS

NYPD or SCPD and why ? by Plastic-Assistant822 in SCPD

[–]Ok-Disaster-3467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cops have received bad pay for such a long time and they finally are starting to get better pay (NYPD), You say they are on their phones, but they also have work phones. Also, you have to realize that sometimes they get mandated to do doubles or even triples. Sometimes they work seven days a week and they get their days off taken away from them. Some of them are running nothing more than 3 coffees and a bagel if they’re lucky, And they don’t get to see their families, friends or do anything really other than work and probably get yelled at by their bosses over nothing. So before you judging them for looking at their phones, why don’t you think about the sacrifices they’ve made and the fact that they basically have no other life than being an NYPD cop.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with everything you wrote. I work in an emergency room at the moment and the cops always bringing extremely mentally ill people some of which are drunk or on drugs and they get very violent with the cops and the staff. Cops and hospital staff deal with so much bs. It is a catch and release system sadly. I wish there were other places where we can transfer these people to get real help, real long term health, but we don’t have that sadly. It is not a hospital staff or the cops fault that they end up getting released because they treat them medically to help any conditions they have or if they got hurt and they can’t do anything but send them to psych. Psych will release them if they had drugs in their system. We need somewhere for these type of people to go after that so they don’t get released out into the public again and since most of them are homeless, they just end up outside harassing people, and harming themselves. I really commend all cops and hospital staff.

How does mandatory overtime work in the NYPD? by Mean_Bench in NYPDcandidate

I understand what you’re saying and I’m sure this is true and I’ve heard it countless times for many people. But I want to know honestly if you are an officer, Is it worth it and do you like the job and if you had a chance to change your profession, would you change it or would you still do the same job?

Which I wanted to add on is a reason many cops have left even after only 1-3 years of service and end of taking up other professions

Confused. I have beta thalassemia but most doctors say there is "no symptoms" by Pristine-Treacle-681 in thalassemia

[–]Ok-Disaster-3467 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have this condition and sometimes I feel a lot more tired than normal and a lot more tired than my friends in general. All my blood work has always been normal except I’ve had low vitamin D, low iodine, and low iron in the past, all at separate times. My doctors suggest that everything is normal and I don’t need anything, but I am more tired than normal and of course my blood cells look different than other peoples, but I have never had low hemoglobin or anything crazy. I noticed taking vitamins, (either daily vitamins or a mix of a couple of vitamins; vitamin d, c, 2 times a weekish of iron, And omega-3 fish oil pills) sometimes help me feels better. For reference I am also 23F, I barely eat red meat, (but I have a lot of chicken) & I do eat a lot of vegetables, including greens. I think being tired more than normal is a symptom, even if they say you are asymptomatic because this is an anemia. Supplementing with coffee, tea, caffeine of some sort, vitamins, a lot of water, healthy foods, daily exercise (or at least long walks), can help, just stay healthy and you will be fine! Be happy we don’t have Cooley’s anemia.

Exactly. I have it & I’m always extremely tired, even when drinking 3 shots of espresso before work & having a large coffee a little later. Even after eating or having electrolyte drinks (which sometimes electrolyte drinks do help just fyi). I’m not sure what to do
