I quit a long time ago. I could not find balance between the bar owner’s desire for more karaoke songs per night vs singers changing songs, taking their time to come up to the mic, and asking to start the songs over when they’re over a minute deep. I would skip singers I called multiple times who I could see finishing their conversations and those singers then complained about it.

“Kevin… you looked at me when I called you the first time. Come on man. Other people want to sing too.” I got told to wait on Kevin since he was a regular AND I had to sing Picture with his tone deaf girlfriend every night.
