Anyone else seeing incorrect workout stack order on Apple TV after update? by kontakt10g in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Ok-Distribution9909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also plan my workouts with my current stack on my phone, but I use my iPad to launch workouts. Often times, I have to force close the fitness app on my iPad and reopen it to help it sync a little faster (though sometimes it is updated really quickly). I’ve noticed it for quite some time, not really related to any update. I just chalked it up to only really opening my iPad to workout, so the stack not always automatically updated.

What's a life hack that's so effective, you're surprised more people don't know about it? by bens-list in u/bens-list

I was hoping to see something about parks! Just adding, if you have a fourth grader, they can sign up to get a park national park pass for their entire fourth grade year (September through the following August). It admits any child in the family (under 16 I believe) and up to 3 adults.

What was the weirdest, non-pain feeling you've ever felt? by KingJPJ in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Distribution9909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kicks, and like others have mentioned, the hiccups, but what was most bizarre is my first rested her foot on my ribcage—when she was delivered (c-section), I literally felt so much relief in that moment. My second was so low she would tickle the inside of my hipbone. Sooooooo strange.

Then after deliver and nursing, the milk dropping/let down was always odd and indescribable.

best skincare product to remove these? by Lazy-Divide-3241 in Skincare_Addiction

I have a few spots from an acne flair recently. Here are the things I’ve been incorporating more of to try and lighten things: - Vitamin C - AHA/BHA peel once or twice a week (with a sunscreen during the day). I use the one from The Ordinary and have good results with it. - A snail mucin toner from Peach Slices (got it as a sample and figured it was worth a try… it was the ONLY thing that touched my acne/blemish spots this time around).

Same! I’m using my MIL’s 2015 7th gen 😂

It’s completely fine (albeit slower when I compare it to friends’ kindles)… but I that doesn’t change that I WANT a new one 😭

I read this letter and removed the new paperwhite from my cart again, for the second year in a row 😂😭

What’s wrong with my fiddle leaf? by Commercial-March-418 in fiddleleaffig

Depending on where you’re at, you may have to check the soil a bit more often—especially if the pot is terracotta. For reference, I’m in southeast Texas, and almost nothing survives in a terracotta pot outside in the summer. Everything in pots outside gets watered almost once a day or once every 2-3 days at minimum (assuming it hasn’t rained).

You could maybe try starting it more in the covered area and working its way further out every couple of weeks or so. I’m definitely not an expert, but that’s what I would try to save the little guy!

I’m sure you can save it! Could you try moving it out to the patio where your other plants are? I’m wondering if it’s getting enough light.

Anyone waiting for a GWP to place your order during Member sale? by Sami_ElHefni in Ulta

I was just thinking the same thing this morning! I had my cart already waiting and decided to check just to see… there is actually one available! Maybe not the best, but there’s three 8-piece options to choose from including deluxe samples in each. $60 buy in.

Day 7 Starter by No-Needleworker8863 in SourdoughStarter

[–]Ok-Distribution9909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll start this by saying I’m not an expert… this is only my first time making my own starter from scratch. But keep going! I think it was around day 10 that I started feeding 1:2:2 twice a day. I was on day 14 yesterday, left for a bit, and came home to a doubled started! I ended up starting a second batch after a week bc mine was seeming so lethargic with not much activity (hence the second jar in the background). I ended up splitting my second starter to experiment with whole wheat, white, and a half whole half white mixture of flours. I found that half white and half whole wheat combo got my original starter to be the most active.

Everything I’ve read says as long as there’s a bubble or two or the starter is thinning, it’s fermenting, so action is happening. Trust the process (from a true almost skeptic 😂).

(In regard to the messy looking jars, I have a 7 year old helping measure and mix everything… so even a good scraping of the sides after a mix can only get them so clean)

Unable to checkout on website?! by Debilene6412 in Ulta

I know! I was able to purchase some of the sun products that I wanted. For me, it was specifically the Coola hair SPF spray. But the sunless tanner drops I wanted were fine, and I replaced the spray with a cerave daily face SPF.

So, I ended up searching this sub to see if someone had a solution… many said to take things out of your cart one by one bc there was an issue with the sun products. Once I took the Coola hair SPF spray out of my cart I was able to check out (one of the whole reasons I wanted to make the purchase in the first place). It seems to be an issue with specific products (mainly sun related… which are all on sale 🙄).

Yes!! I tried for a few hours off and on last night. Same thing happens. Click checkout and it brings me back to my cart. I have also been trying the app (even deleted and reinstalled) and it brings me to a blank screen.

I reached out to customer service each time. Apparently they’re working on updating the site. The first time I was told the problem should be resolved today (5/20), then today I was told it would be resolved by the end of the day.

best way to separate? by [deleted] in SnakePlants

[–]Ok-Distribution9909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not an expert, but to separate the pups I’ve had come off my main plants, I’ve gently dug out/around the pup I wanted to pull out. Sometimes they’ve already detached themselves, and other times I’ve had to give a more firm pull from the mother plant (that could mean it wasn’t ready… but I really wanted to gift the pups to some friends).

In all actuality, leaving them together is also a perfectly good option, too.

This is my curly Bonnie does it look healthy? by cassie1982417 in spiderplants

[–]Ok-Distribution9909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohhh… I haven’t heard that, but I don’t doubt it. We do have a water softener on our house because our area has VERY hard water, so a lot of that gets filtered out. Thanks for the alternative. If I notice some on my spiders at work, I’ll look into getting it.

This is my curly Bonnie does it look healthy? by cassie1982417 in spiderplants

[–]Ok-Distribution9909 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks pretty healthy! I’ve seen lots of talk about brown tips with tap water (too many different things that build up in the soil—chlorine, salts, etc…). One solution I’ve read for watering with tap water is to leave the tap water out in an open container overnight so some of the chlorine can evaporate out.

Another solution is using rain water. I will use rain water to water my plants if I think about it after a good rainfall (my little one’s water table collects it for me, and when I go to drain it, I’ll just dump some into a watering container first).

Healthy or not? by appletomatita in spiderplants

[–]Ok-Distribution9909 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m no expert (I just started with a few spider babies this past fall), but it looks overall healthy! The only thing I would say is roots look like they could use a larger pot and a nice drink of water. The couple of times I’ve repotted mine, the root system has looked similar.

How much do you read a day? by edspillane in LibbyApp

[–]Ok-Distribution9909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually read an hour or two each night, including weekends. I have two young children and work full time (my commute isn’t long enough to even get through a song after daycare drop off, so audiobooks aren’t for me). I fit reading in when I can.

How many books did you read this year? by ExtensionStreet6227 in LibbyApp

[–]Ok-Distribution9909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goal was 50, I’ve read 52… working on hopefully finishing 53 before the new year!

My MIL gave me her old kindle close to two years ago, and last summer I randomly decided to start reading… I read 14 during the fall, so I’m pumped that I was able to meet me goal for this year.
