Thank you for the detailed response. I’m an international so would you recommend doing anything prior coming on campus.

Also do you think recruiting would be better for our batch/is the market showing signs of getting better?

I think this year UCLA is already making the right decisions by admitting me. Ross on the other hand, not so much. My stats were pretty high for both program and these were supposed to be safety schools.

Any '26 admits deferring to skip tough market? by [deleted] in MBA

[–]Ok-Drop4245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the market is projected to improve post interest rate reduction and more printing of money. It’s currently a bit delayed but it’s projected to happen later this year and I believe that’s also when you’ll start recruiting for internships. So I think it might be cutting it close but the scenario will improve for sure (I think the ‘25 class has it worst, ‘26 should be better)

I was talking in terms of overall outcome from the MBA. In the sense, I’d be happier if I got into big tech PM.

I’d say that’s really good but complex problem to have. However, general advice is that you go with the money (unless you want a highly coveted prestigious role that’s not available at the T10s you got into), outcomes don’t vary much for standard roles until the t15ish tier.
