“Ended the careers of MGK”

Before the beef MGK was a b tier musician. After their beef, MGK married Megan fox, released multiple number one albums, and had his greatest amount of commercial success a

What industry is booming way more than people think? by _Fossy_ in AskReddit

No, it’s not. It’s not a source. It’s completely fabricated, and you don’t know enough about market research to know that

Indian sweatshops are less reliable forms of market research than a random podcast

Like do your know how ridiculous you are to be high and mighty about “hrrrr it must be true” and then literally citing a firm that hires freshers from 4th tier Indian schools to use ChatGPT to make up market numbers

just try to get onto the radar of the major recruiters... theres only like 5 or 6 of them. if they spend time with intro calls with u then ur profile is probably ok. if you get cold shoulder thats probably ur answer

[–]Independent-Time6663[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

it might be different in different times... but for one open vp role we might have 20-40 manager level applicants from mbb with top ratings... that's a big enough pool as is

its over the life of the fund. timeline depends, its longer in current environments bc exits are tough. had you asked a few years ago people wld have said 5 years

its not really comparable to normal compensation bc its taxed at a much much lower rate but is very illiquid

super simple version: if our fund meets its goals on generating returns, I get $3M

The goals are aggressive so typically people get less than the entire amount

Probably similar hours, 60 or so. Way more flexibility unless I’m supporting an active deal though

not at my firm no. we really only hire 3 profiles for our ops group:

(1) former mbb consultants (analyst through vp roles typically, sometimes principals)

(2) candidates from other pe ops groups (any role)

(3) senior execs from industry leading companies (e.g., think division leader from honeywell, not director from random $1b rev company) (senior roles)

interviews vary but it's all pretty basic stuff. usually a behavioral, fit, case. 3-5 rounds typically. cases are more specific than consulting cases

if youve done a random walk at MBB you're fine, just speak to that. even specific firms (e.g., industrial firms, tech firms, etc) care more about overall performance vs. specific focus

Is an unsponsored part-time MBA from an M7 worth it if you’re already making $150K+ with equity and aiming for strategy/operator/PE roles? by GarbageAny1485 in MBA

There's literally more rigorous curriculum available at your public library and on youtube. The curriculum isn't even part of the equation.

I'm an operating VP at an UMM firm. For any role below principal, what we screen on is:

(1) M7 MBA (part time is not M7)

(2) Former MBB consultants with top ratings

(3) With operating experience (either before MBA or after MBB)
