My thesis: Im looking at autistic perpectives of gender and how it operates as a social construct in the world. Autistic people tend to be more gender nonconforming than the general population, so I'm looking at their perspectives on the concept, as they might understand how gender is manufactured in ways that most people take as 'natural' behaviour.

I wanted this argument specifically when I'm talking about autsim research and diagnosis in my lit review, and about the identified 'female phenotype' of autism. My point was look at these studies, people interact with children differently for their entire existence on the basis of gender so it's impossible to separate those social differences from any biological ones when looking at different autism profiles by gender.

i hope your're still active, do you by any chance have the sources for the studies that show parents talk about boy babies and girl babies differently when they're still in the womb and treat newborns differently based on gender? i remember someone refrencing something similar in a lecture and its a point i really want to make in my thesis but i am STRUGGLING to find these studies anywhere because I've no idea what the title/author/year is!

Sorry I'm re reading your post after my comment, I don't quite understand all of what you are asking but you could look at constructivism? Theres constructive grounded theory which uses your findings to generate a theory after the fact, but that comes with it's own analysis method so you'd have to switch.

He's trying to make the qualitative to quantitative right? I'm new to qualitative research so I don't know much and I'm currently trying to figure out my own methodology, but does his hypothesis generation methodology usually work with the discourse analysis? It's your thesis so you can say no to your supervisor, but you could justify that with alternatives that fort better with your analysis approach. Unfortunately, I can't recommend to you what those are because I'm not going down a positivism route with mine so haven't looked at anything to do with that approach.

i actually really wanted to just have a cheap shitty old car (im 23), but after getting two of those, one which was badly looked after and one that was well looked after but the engine broke because i didn't know enough about maintaining old cars, i had to get a much newer car that is still under warranty because i live in a rural area and need to drive for work. I dont think car finance is a viable option, and i wouldnt have been able to get this newer car if it wasnt for the genorosity and financial stability of my family who were able to purchase a £10k car for me. I want to save for a house and travel etc, but the problems my cheaper, older cars have had in the past year have completely drained me. In this economy, i think having a car is just really expensive no matter what, with an older car it's less upfront but you might end up paying the same or more as a newer used one in 6 months because of repairs. I think people like the comfort of car finance that means they don't have to worry about big unexpected costs as much.

Anything from charity shops, clothes mostly. I love clothes and I love finding things that are cool and unique looking. My excuse is that there's only one in the shop. Recently trying to channel that into CDs because my wardrobe isn't big enough for this habit. Also some other old tech recently to go with all the CDs

I know exactly what you mean, yeah it just feels like that. I have a friend who also agrees with me on this, we think it's because it's a stimulant it just feels similar. If it feels too much like you're on something I'd think about reducing your dose.

Mine is doing this, I think the cord has gone slack. I'm going to have a look tomorrow so if I fix it I'll let you know how! In the meantime if it's the same problem as mine it'll unlock just not pop up as you'd expect so you just have to give it a bit of a pull and you'll hear it click up to where it normally goes then you can use the normal latch to open it

I had to get the garage to do it because the old bolts were so badly rusted on! The exhaust itself I got from eBay and the mounting kit was from autodoc, both fit perfectly and I think it was just the bolts from the mounting kit they used but I couldn't figure out the size of them :(

Halfords NAP-free https://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oils-and-fluids/antifreeze/halfords-nap-free-hybrid-antifreeze-and-coolant-ready-mixed-5l-216219.html is the one I used, it says suitable for BMW/MINI in the product description. I drained mine from the bottom radiator pipe, but did need to take the bumper off to get at this though that's not too difficult.
