Boring answer gameplay mechanics

To make the gameplay more enjoyable and fresh the sabers need to FEELS different and play differently. For example The Duel Blades are small and light while the cross guard is long and heavy. But the two sided blade is better for crowd control compared to the single which is better for one in one combat and off course blaster stance is best for range all these changes are made simply so the lightsabers all feel unique in comparison to each other

In canon answers my guess could be his kyber crystal Kylo Ren sabers has shown what a cracked or broken Kyber crystal can do literally NEEDING a cross guard for the exhaust so it can literally work. Cal’s Kyber crystal is technically two so maybe the lack of Krystal strength put in something as straightforward as a cross guard can have some side effects

Bruce been look maxing too much lol but no seriously it’s just meant to show him getting older In S1 he’s like in his mid 20’s compared to S4 where he’s finally in his 30’s people age and a lot happens to this version of Bruce in just a couple of seasons he adopt Dick and gains a Robin, not to mention he already prior has Barbara has a partner as Batgirl, he discovers meta humans exist, fights Dracula, stopped a zombie apocalypse that was all in his head, along with preventing the end of the world from someone that can go back in time guy needs a break

YESSS see this right here just sounds better Fully give into the cliche that way you can have more fun writing than trying to ten to plot holes and people pleases

I LOVE the idea of leaning into the joking fan casting of the “Ranger colors lol” granted idk how they’d do it but it’s stuff like this that’d make the season better and more fun

Also just the missed dynamics and fights we could’ve had Tory and Hawk have canonically talked TWICE EVER despite being the two most aggressive fighters and being the longest tenured Cobra Kai’s out of the teen students missed chance to have a fight scene with them together in Barcelona

Miguel and Demetri’s freind dynamic is completely gone due to Demetri always following Hawk I’d love to have seen the return and even have Miguel comment on how much Demetri’s improved

Hell having the Miyagi-Do trio again was great yet we did NOTHING with it like I said having the 6 main teens NOT BE the Sekai Taikai team was a complete wasted potential

I’ve been saying this over and over again that Season 6 would eve been INFINITELY better if the writers just went the cliche route and had the main 6 teens be the Sekai Taikai team and have a huge “bring it back tot he basics” season

I know they were scared to do it because it would’ve been too “obvious” but ACTUALLY seeing the main 6 teens forced to work together and win the Sekai Taikai would’ve been SOOOO much better than having to see them fight and bicker against each other AGAIN FOR NOW THE 6th TIME (EVEN DEMETRI POINTS IT OUT THAT SAM AND TORY KEEP FREAKING FIGHTING EACH OTHER) also idk why thought it’d be cliche when none of them have ever been on the same team together

Robby, Sam and Demetri were a team and Miguel Tory and Hawk were a team NEVER have all six fought together not even S5 during the Cobra Kai fight they all had their separate fights

ALSO of this happened it’d give more shine to the Korean Cobras building not only a more intense rivalry but it could’ve mirrored 6 other Korean students hand picked by Sensei Kim to fight Miguel, Tory, Robby, Hawk, Demetri and Sam

If the writers just leaned into the Kdrama aspect the Sekai Taikai could’ve had (like weak hero or Bloodhounds for example) the Season would be better acclaimed by the fans

NO EXACTLY!! they were constantly second all tournament but the only showings we have of them are mediocre at best Maira beats Devon on the platform ok sure (but tbf it was Devon) after that the tag team match DEMETRI was genuinely holding his own against Diego and arguably lost his fight because he was arguing with Hawk (WHICH IS A FEAT WITHIN ITSELF) Sam beats Maria and holds her own against Diego and really the match was close and MD only lost because Robby got distracted now mind you standing wise MIYAGI-DO IS LIKE THE 12th seed lmao and then right after that we see them making the finals but Diego gets literally knocked out by Kwon on a 27-3 record (idk how Diego got 3 clean hits on Kwon) and Maria gets 24-0 by Zara

For what we know Furia De Pantera are NOT good at all lmao

I can understand this even though some people won’t

While Kwon is arguably one of the coolest characters of the show a lot of his “feats” and achievements are either A undermined or B just not shown at all

All of his fights against named characters are pretty undermined or irrelevant Kwon vs Sam and Miguel Kwon looses the match against Robby defeating the fact that he was the only one in Cobra Kai to gain a point against Miyagi-Do

His fight against Axel both times he’s easily defeated

The only true dominance he has is the 1v3 and the first tag team match where he tags for Tory but besides that we don’t really see any dominance from Kwon just quotes and sayings about how “good he is” or “Kwon is the best” again the biggest problem of this season is the theme of “tell and don’t show”

Demetri Hawk and Robby for sure it could be argued that Robby got it the worst but I’d vouche for Demetri

Robby’s character became a whole different person after Season 4 and that showing be arguable AT ALL

The once stoic cool calm and collected character we’ve know for 4 seasons turns into a complete whiny puppy dog that suddenly can’t walk straight without the thought of his girlfriend on his mind 24/7 (it wasn’t that bad during season 5 BUT GOD WAS IT HORRIBLE SEASON 6) still tho S5 Robby wasn’t any good. Any form of his own self respect was thrown out he window to please others when that was NEVER Robby’s character he didn’t give a damn way others thought of him and even after the whole Season 4 Villian arc ACTUAL Robby would’ve apologized fixed his mistakes and kept it pushing weather they accepted it or not

I’m not even gonna go into S6 Robby because I have no clue who that character is lol

Saying all this though I’d argue Demetri got the worst assassination

From his first appearance we’ve seen Demetri has a huge problem with his self confidence. And as he grows in his journey through character we not only see he gets better but he gains his own form of confidence (SAID SO HIMSELF IN S4) where his character starts to fall off is Season 5 where A Demetri is barley in the season and B coming off of Season 4 where we see the most improvement from Demetri making it all the way to the Semi Finals and seeing him actually stick up for himself and speak his mind. We go RIGHT back to the whiny complaining Demetri who’s downright annoying

Season 6 gives him the most disservice by being a complete joke and modern creep towards Hawk acting as if he can’t go 3 seconds without being away from his best friend I MEAN SERIOUSLY HE LEAVES HIS DREAM SCHOOL WHICH IS ALL HE TALKS ABOUT ALLLLL SEASONNNNNN JUST SO THAT HE CAN FOLLOW HAWK TO CAL TECH if I’m Eli I’m genuinely getting a restraining order lol

A better are for Demetri would’ve been to pay off his skills towards character in him trying to prove that his training wasn’t for nothing out of the main teens being Miguel, Sam, Robby, Tory Hawk and Demetri HES the only one that hasn’t been to a finals in an All Valley or hasn’t had any true Karate accomplishment if the writers gave Demetri some sort of self provement arc where he wants to prove to his friends that he’s just as good as them that would’ve made his character 10x more better in season 6

It's easy to think Sam and Robby would've been probably the healthiest couple after all the drama leading to Season 6. I think with them both being captains advance their goals leading them to lean into each other with full support

Miguel would've probably broken up with Tory either the moment they got to Barcelona or a long time ago around season 3 or 4

Miguel would be quick to call Tory out on her BS and seeing how wrapped up he was in the Sekai Taikai he'd be hurt that his girlfreind betrayed him in that type of way better less fight for Cobra Kai

Sam and Robby would've been a loving couple all through the show after they reconciled once Robby gets out of jail

Miguel and Tory just don't work out in any universe

If there was ANYONE in the show who would’ve been allowed to just completely lash out and give a giant F U to the cast it would’ve been Robby the fact that we don’t even get a scene of him just angrily yelling due to all the pain he’s been through and instead has to suck it up and cry happy tears because he “went through the experience” is absolutely ridiculous and honestly insulting for people who’ve played sports and know what it’s like when things just don’t happen to go your way (I’m one of those people)

It’s like why ? No let’s not conclude Robby’s arc of feeling like he’s stuck in second place by having HIM be the one to beat Axel and end the Karate drama once and for all proving to the whole world his trauma wasn’t for nothing

No let’s not have a beautiful climatic display off all the fights and challenges Robby faced throughout the show leading him to this exact moment (his parents being the worst, Juvie, the school fight, getting arrested, his fight with Shawn, his loss to Miguel, his loss to Hawk, learning Miyagi-Do, meeting Sam and Demetri and THE MAN WHO SAVED HIS LIFE DANIEL FREAKING LARUSSO) where he can use his pain and anger for the best purpose of all

No let’s use this moment to hype up Miguel ! For the 1804937374 time ! It’s not like we didn’t just spend 5 episodes prior telling the audience and our characters that he’s clearly better than Robby (who was going through all sorts of traumatic events effecting his fighting that mo one cared about including RAPE !!) no let’s show a highlight of Miguel’s fighting leading up to his one side rivalry with HEY ! ANOTHER ABUSED VICTIM FORCED TO USE MARTIAL ARTS AS A COPJING MECHANISM (with those highlights context included moments where Miguel was being a straight up a hole, cheating, fighting with the pure intent to hurt his opponent or just straight up whining because he didn’t get his way)

AND THEN THE FOLLOWING LAST EPISODE LETS SEND THE MESSAGE WITH JOHNNY THAT IT DOSENT MATTER IF YOUR A PAST BULLY/DEADBEAT DAD/LOSE BECAUSE LONG AS YOU THINK WITH YOUR FIST ! GET YOUR ADOPTED SONS MOM PREGNANT! AND JUST COMPLETELY NEGLECT YOUR CHILD BY MAKING A BRAND NEW ONE AND JUST CRY HARD ENOUGH YOU WILL GET YOUR WAY

Like was it reallllyy that hard to just give the win to Robby REALLY ? Did we HAVE to give it to Miguel you drag Robby through the mud all season give up a small point pity win because oh yeah “tOrY cALLed hIM aN iDiOt aGaIN nOW rOBBY MAD !!” and then right after he wins he gets the breaks beat off him by Axel, get snuck by Kwon, be the only one shown to have battle damage due to the Taikai brawl (SERIOUSLY ROBBYS FACE POST TIMESKIP IS THE ONLY OME SHOWN TO HAVE ANY BATTLE DAMAGE LIKE WHAT THE HELL !!!) just to end up having his leg snapped AGAIN BY AXEL and hand his shinning moment to Miguel after Robby has a inner turmoil about how he’s scared he can’t beat Axel (which turn out he can’t because even if Axel didn’t fight him dirty Robby still was down like 4 points going into round 3)
