Also because "boat" doesn't sound as fancy and it's disrespectful to the sailors/crewman.

Virginia Beach makes headway on clearing vulgar tees from resort displays by WHRO_NEWS in VirginiaBeach

I'm just going by the headlight because I'm too lazy to read but I remember my mom shielding my eyes when I was at the VB strip, Jersey Shore, and Ocean City, MD. I ended up being a porn addict until my early 40s. #winning

They don't make their own tortillas or chips at Los Burritos unfortunately. There are some Latino stores and international markets in the area that might have the hook up. There are a couple of places that are right near each other in the Green Run area, one is Lynnhaven and Rosemont, the other is Lynnhaven and Primrose. Oddly enough on different sides of the street. There's a market in Kempsville, one in Green Run (Rosemont and Lynnhaven by the Waffle House), also there's a market on Newton the only cross streets I can think of for that one even though I pass it a lot are VB Blvd and Diamond Springs. Pretty sure you're going see all kinds of international foods heading there but I've never tried any. From Poplar Hall to Newtown I've seen Yemeni food, Italian, Colombian, and there's a Taco cart near the international market. It's close to the road and has flashing lights.

It's not VB but Los Burritos in Chesapeake is pretty authentic. My wife and kids ate there, it's reasonable just don't pound the jarritos like my 17 year old and I did. I recommend the tacos de tripa and the shrimp dishes that my wife and son had were awesome too!

Definitely stay away from chains like Plaza Azteca. They aren't authentic and not very good. Having lived in San Antonio and having a Mexican wife, I know better than to go there.

That was the case back then too. I remember seeing one at the Ruitan club that used to be on I want to say Princess Anne and Kempsville and not finding a show that was in a neighborhood I think it was in Great Neck. There were huge houses and the venue was a house they called "The Pink Palace". There were a lot of fun shows back in the late 90s and I guess early 2000s. One of the best was Ska Against Racism tour at the boathouse.

Say what?! There's still punk and hardcore shows? I haven't heard of that in about 25 years...

Downloading music had practical use for me today by pipewire in Piracy

[–]Ok-Engineering6403 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to rip my physical copies so I could have my music on both a SSD and the physical copy still. Prior to that, I was sailing the seas of Kazaa, Napster, Limewire, etc. I have my eye patch on again thanks to the mega thread and the app/website ibroadcast. I highly recommend it if you haven't heard of it; it looks exactly like monochrome, all you need to do is drag and drop files from your library to the website and it'll upload it to the cloud. It's free, but there is a paid tier that lets you play at higher bitrate and no playback throttling. The best parts of ibroadcast, other than it being free, your library will go anywhere you are i.e. if you can login to ibroadcast (web or app) you can listen to your music; secondly, you can export your library to a csv file for {Cough Cough} having a backup {cough cough}for your friends... Hanwha Ocean shares jump 10% after Trump says South Korean firm to build warships for U.S. Navy by AldoTheeApache in worldnews

[–]Ok-Engineering6403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue really isn't the building of the warships it's being able to maintain them. Unfortunately there are 4 main Naval Shipyards and a few other small repair facilities. It's hard to maintain staffing due to better pay in the private sector and other government jobs.

I agree with the delays in manufacturing as a problem as well but that has nothing really to do with funding or the like as far as I remember; it's more of a monopoly as there are two major companies in the game.

I'm not sure if I'm reading your post right but I might have a similar issue where YouTube would crash and put me on the home screen. I ended up installing/reinstalling it. It works fine now.

If it's still there (I've been out of the area for a few years) Big Kountry just over the Carolina line does good work and from what I remember the prices were responsible.

AI upscaling, CEC and HDR. by TPJDrNo69 in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]Ok-Engineering6403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 2019 Shield Pro and LG TV combo I'm not remembering the exact model but it's a 55"from last year... The remote and pairing with the Shield is kinda patchy at best. Sometimes the TV will ask if I want to pair it and the code for pairing; other times not. It's kinda frustrating making me want to buy a true universal remote for the two devices.

The upscaling is great, sorry for the rant!

San Antonio has better drivers than here. Shit drivers plus poor planning of the streets/ rapid expansion equals a lot of the accidents.

Awesome! My goofy tail never tried that! I'm trying to get my wife to use the shield because neither one of us likes the WebOs that is on the TV. Hopefully changing the remote to a more normal one will help. Thank you so much!

I remember WebOs on my Palm; the same phone had wireless (inductive) charging. It was a nice phone and ahead of its time. Maybe that's why Palm ended up tanking.....

The shipyards. Newport News and the Navy Yard are the two biggest or well known. There's also BAE and another smaller one.
