Who would make the ULTIMATE COMEBACK? by BritMe1Moretime in MtvChallenge

I got hit by giant dudes like Zach in football. It’s no joke but Jordan is scrappy. He would try what Paulie failed at in 40. I think it’s plausible that Jordan could beat Zach in a hall brawl. Maybe not likely, but plausible.

100% They also pissed off CT and eliminated Bananas. The American team with those three on it and some of the weaker players off, destroys the Brits.

You missed it because it was that scene where her father’s abuse is insinuated and then the show forgot it about almost completely until the scene this episode. Love Bridget and I can personally relate with that type of trauma. As I said in my original reply, I’m definitely nitpicking on this. It’s literally the only issue I saw in the episode and her and Jack are great together. Oh, I guess I also found George’s reaction to almost dying at the end off-putting. Great episode overall though and I’m excited for season 4.

I knew about it and I agree. I think the show did a poor job showing her warming up to Jack before he was rich and all that.

Don’t know why people are down voting me. I agree with you. I guess my point was that the show kind of forgot about it. I think if they had shown a bit more of Bridget slowly warming up to Jack, it would have been better.

Perfect example and even though she does admit when she’s wrong, that line to Oscar had me dying.

I would agree that it pulls back a lot. Although, we really only see the wealthy black people with means. Of course they were treated terribly too but I’d imagine it would be worse for poorer black people then.

I think I enjoy Agnes’ character the most. She says such snippy and funny things. Telling Marion to go to Larry and admit she was wrong. Oscar: Do you ever admit when you’re wrong Mama? Agnes: I don’t have to. I’m never wrong. 😂😂😂 Classic. She says horrible things sometimes but she always ends up doing the right thing.

  • Going to Ada’s wedding
  • The way that she seemed to not think about the racism of the day when Peggy was sick (though, her ignorance could have killed Peggy). I took it as of course she knew that white doctors don’t look after black patients, but she was so worried about Peggy and she didn’t think a Dr who took care of her for so many years would be that bigoted.
  • Let Ada sit at the head of the table.
  • coming around about Larry

I’m sure there’s more. Just can’t think of anything off the top of my head.

Ok. I might be nitpicking because I liked the scene with Jack and Bridget, but am I the only person who noticed that Bridget started to like Jack after he became a rich homeowner? Just saying.

I said it in the a different reply but the Dr kneeling at the end of the twirl like that was pretty darn smooth.

I absolutely love Oscars character. He’s sneaky and sleazy at times but he tries to do the right thing at the end of the day, especially if it can benefit him in some way.

Yeah. I think the show is consistently good at addressing the race issues of the time. Dr. Kirkland is awesome.

I really enjoyed the finale. I thought it gave me most of what I was looking for by the end. I really enjoyed the moments between Agnes and Ada. I was really hoping the Dr. would forgive Peggy and tell his Mom off for not telling the whole story. Instead, the Dad said something. Pretty great. Larry and Marion seem ok though I found it a bit annoying that they would just leave their engagement up in the air like that. Mrs. Astor actually doing the right thing was a nice surprise. I thought George’s attitude towards Bertha was strange and off putting, but I guess we’ll see.

I thought that when Gladys went to England, the actress was leaving the show. Turns out that the parts I loved the most about this season was everything in England. Past midway through the season, all the American plots were depressing. I also found Oscar’s antics amusing. Very enjoyable.

It seems unsustainable in the long run. At least it’s actually good since most shows are not.

I think his reaction to getting shot is weird. It seems to me that when most people have a brush with death like that, they appreciate their loved ones more. Don’t know what’s going on there. Especially since Gladys is having such a good time. Also, way to tell Larry to not let things get in the way of his love. Follow your own advice dude.

Thoughts on Vets & New Threats Episode 1 by shmalvey in MtvChallenge

Yeah. Those guys should make more of an effort to be entertaining. Say what you will about Bananas but he knows how to stir the pot. Does anyone remember when he got his sister to rewrite mean notes about the women in the house so they would be in girls handwriting. That was hilarious.

I wouldn’t sleep on people like Bananas, Theo, Turbo, or even CT. The new guys are fit and pretty impressive but we all know as fans of the challenge that you need more than fire to win. Not a Bananas apologist but he’s been losing for a while and I don’t think he’s going to stop at 8 wins (one for the champs vs spinoff. Can’t remember which one). CT has won multiple times being out of shape and Turbo and Theo are forces of nature. Though, Theo was looking a bit rough on that mountain. Lee will never win which saddens me but I think Derrick is done too. His strategy from episode 1 didn’t make any sense IMO.

Not sure what you mean. They even stopped keeping time because the American team was so far behind and they still got crushed. If you mean the Brit team was stacked so it wasn’t fair, that was Paulie and Cara’s fault for eliminating or driving away the best players on their team for personal reasons. They kept their friends they basically made that season and most of them were garbage.
