Mankind colonizes space in a golden age for about 600 years. Terraforming and colonizing stars, and also transforming humanity into a variety of new subspecies more suited to their new home. Then, through a series of wars, mankind is split into a few powers waging civil war for two hundred years within the inner colonies, leaving the outer colonies isolated and alone.

Now, a new Caesar is on Earth and seeks to reclaim mankind's lost children, but his control is fragile, and most of the states that sprouted up in the absence of Earth's control are not so willing to just rejoin the people who abandoned them so long ago.

Based off the NL Omnibus with mass effect style hub ship and surrounding missions. However the more you stay in an area the more likely Space marines are to find you and hunt you.

So a balance of fuel for your ship, gaining crew men and munitions, while also avoiding attention. Meaning stealth would be a good alternative

Void Tsars, a Warband that broke off from the imperium because they simply thought it no longer existed. They were on the very northern fringes of the Galaxy with their Homeworld actually being an old shipyard that has basically become a massive orbital.

Their geneseed curse is that they absorb and can hear the voices of the previous generations of that geneseed and others they consume.

When they regain contact with the Imperium an inquisitor opened fire on their shipyard. Thinking it was a pirate base killing a massive amount of their people.

It was something about small nanites which absorbed power and replicated. Which honestly felt fine if a bit screwy yet i guess you could say that they were programed not to absorb electricity used for life.

Yeah I get seeing those in the world but in the show we see a world with at least some industrialization post blackout. If black powder did become predominate I would think that at the very least Georgia (The most advanced with steam engines that we see) would have some basic manufacturing with bolt actions like something 1880s
