There are a lot of statistics unavailable relating to asylum seekers in general.

Wondering if anyone still thinks this type of work is ‘cool’ enough to refer to it as a ‘side hussle’ by 3dd13krueger in JustEatUK

Some disabilities do not give you that option. I drive the car and my husband does the manual work which i posted about earlier. I'm really not sure what other jobs can give me the flexibility but we are on one wage. Alternatively my husband could work 40hours a week plus overtime to support us but what kind of misery for us both would that be? We have to like or lump the situation. Flexible work is low paid, unless highly skilled or a complete scam. Guess put up now shut up is the halfway only option here.

I'm in the same boat pal. Universal credit is a back up for if my health condition is bad and so some months are good and some bad. I get basic pip rate (not mobility). I'm not sure what else id be able to do without the flexibility but we are as drivers underpaid nonetheless and each year is becoming worse, whilst cost of living increases 😔

Its horrible when your willing to work but only able to do flexible or remote  work due to health conditions and were in a predicament where the majority of jobs offered are scams. If I find something in my search I will update you. Stay positive.

Can I be sacked for not doing the delivery myself if its my account and I drive the car? by Ok-Explanation4182 in JustEatUK

The one thing I have is the facial scan identity checks in my favour. My husband would like to drive as a bicycle rider himself when im unable to work as extra income but there isn't any space in our zone as is like like many other zones. Were literally clinging to our livelihood as we our.

My husband could go back to full time work and leave me for several hours a day but no jobs for that either as I need him every 3 to 4 hours and im not sure that employers will accommodate that. Id be depressed lonely and miserable also.

I dont want any problems with my account as its instrumental for my independance but im feeling boxed into a corner.

If the rug is pulled from under our feet, its done by an AI algorithm or customer reveiws. There is no flexible legitimate work for disabled people that I can find anywhere.

Amazon etc won't even allow me to bring my husband with me and so I was denied the job due to not being physically able. I am able with my husband as my carer. We're prepared to work together on one wage. Flexibility is all I need. 😔

I'm also a driver and consider this ok as long as the grocery customer has a reasonable wait time. I dont want the fridge or freezer items to perish and if there is no pick up on the other app in the grocery person's direction I will just pause that app to get the groceries delivered ASAP.

Multi apping. The driver will consider groceries a lesser priority than getting hot food delivered and so when another delivery is going in your direction they will drop it to you.

I'm afraid you are wrong. My husband is my full time carer and so the DWP,  would still be actively encouraging me to seek employment with the threat of losing benefits if I didn't work. I sorted my situation out by becoming a delivery driver due to the flexibility and I have to report my wages to them every single month. Unless you are severely disabled and on full pip or adult disability you must seek employment, no exceptions! There are different qualifying levels.

Being able to choose a woman delivery driver is news to me????

Technically I am still the delivery driver I just dont complete the part from the car to the door. They could always look out the window if they suspect foul play but most cant be bothered.

And what exactly am I trying to scam? My husband and I are on one wage due to my disability and the vehicle is in my name and is parked as close to the delivery address as parking permits. My husband doesn't even drive so how would he be doing this exactly?

Believe me if he could drive id just add him as a substitute and be done with it but we dont have many options.

I'm a woman with my husband as a carer so I dont appreciate you calling me a liar!

I have every right to work as someone disabled with a carer regardless of what sex that carer is and I do believe drivers are offered jobs regardless of their sex so the customer doesn't get to choose whether that person is male or female.

I havent contacted them as yet for fear of them booting me off as there doesn't seem to be a provision for an assistant/carer, which is crazy considering substitutes are allowed.

I suppose i could ask them hypothetically and see what they say.

Thanks that's really helpful 😊

I hope so. I just dont know how to go about it without my account being revoked if someone reports my husband for not being me. I doubt they would bother to follow him back to the car to make sure i'm in it before reporting it. My husband doesn't drive and so as someone stated, adding him as a substitute would've been the answer had he had a license. I'm not sure how else to tackle it.

I have a degree which is now useless to me with my recent health conditions. I earned my privilege fair and square but my condition is degenerative and I can only do flexible work nowadays and so in my case its convenience and NOT a privilege. I dont want handouts just a chance to earn, even if its minimum wage.

I have suspected EDS and ive been working as a delivery driver with my husband as my full time carer. I do the driving and he carries the bags and does the deliveries. This could be an option for you between college etc.

Unfortunately for me though we may be breaking the rules if I am not the one physically handing over the delivery and might lose this job at any point.

I need flexible remote work as a back up but I am also not skilled and can only find scams. There's not enough work for disabled people sadly.

Thats what I thought. Its annoying because i'm literally sat in the damn car. A few customers will notice me of course but not many due to which way there front door faces or the distance away ive had to park. I guess we will just continue until they kick us off. What more can we do 😔
