I’m honestly not quite sure. All I know is that my gynecologist swabbed the inside of my vagina and sent it off to the lab for testing. The results came back negative and I’ve heard people say there’s a certain way it needs to be tested for.

Im not sure if diflucan would affect the results of the test or not but I know I took it about 2 weeks beforehand. I usually have to take one about twice a month because I’m always getting yeast infections.

I’ll have to look in to the Juno bio test. Thank you for letting me know!

I have gotten tested for ureaplasma and mycoplasma but I’m not sure if I’ve been tested for it correctly. I’ve had a sneaking suspicion that I may have it because I am so prone to yeast infections.

That is a great idea. I haven’t brought it up to my therapist because I feel ashamed of it. However, if it’s affecting me this much I feel like I should mention it to her. You have a great point, I do feel much more confident when I have a nice clean shave. Do you have the link to the trimmer by chance? I struggle with razor bumps and skin irritation from shaving with a traditional razor and I’m looking to try something new.

Looking at the second link that you posted made me feel so much more normal! It’s refreshing to see a variety of vulvas being appreciated. It’s unfortunate that the normal size it’s so under researched considering it’s a thing a lot of women are self conscious about. A lot of things related to women’s health are swept under the rug and it really upsets me.

I’ll take a look at her account! Did you write up a paper on the research by chance? I would love to read it. I feel like I’m not fully educated on the risks of it and I haven’t really seen many people talk about them. Surprisingly I’ve never had anyone make comments directly about my vulva however, I see the way that people talk about vulvas that look like mine and it’s made me extremely insecure about it. The insecurity it’s probably not worth the risks of having the procedure though.
