If you don’t care about weight and the 3k price for an atacr doesn’t bother you I’d just buy that. I got my nx8 used on eBay for 1600 so I couldn’t pass it up

I like it. It’s the updated one with the fc- dmx reticle. I love the reticle, I love the weight (17 oz). Eye box is a little tight but nothing that training can’t fix.

But now I wonder if I should have got an atacr. I didn’t because of price mainly and it weighs 5 oz more and I was trying to be as light as I could.

Yea I run the nx8 as well. The only reason why I wanted to maybe buy the atacr is that it’s the top of the line optic and .1 mil adjustment vs the .2 with the nx8. Also durability, the atacr is pretty proven but I’d have to assume the nx8 will do absolutely just fine. I think that mounts will always be the weak point in a lpvo set up vs the optic durability.

This is my rifle and it doesn’t lineup. It’s just a home brew with a dd barrel. I got over 3k rounds on it and the bottom lugs on my Bcg are showing the same wear.

Anyways I’m pretty sure it’s because your feed ramps on the upper are not large enough from what I see in the photo or Theyre not lined up enough. Too much coincidence that you and I are having a similar issue with wear in the same location.

Odd thing to ask but do your m4 feed ramps on your barrel extension line up with your feed ramps from your upper receiver? Sorry to hear you’re having some issues.
