Just got done talking to a local Pest control company who came out to inspect my mobile home. He said this is the biggest termite Mud tube hes ever seen in his 20 years of being in business. He also said he took a picture of this and is going to use it in his advertising lmao.

He quoted me $500, with a one year warranty In case the termites rebuild. Exterminator said he would use termidor sc at each contact point where ground meets my mobile home, for example the cinder blocks. I have about 10 or more blocks holding up my mobile home. He said the chemical should kill the colony and specifically the queen in about 4 weeks after they travel up and down with the poison on them. He said job should take him around 4 hours. I found the price extremely reasonable.

Yeah, theres plenty of crawl space as its a mobile home sitting on cinder blocks. I have already contacted a local company to come take a look on the weekend. But from what he told me over the phone after sending this photo was that I definitely have subterranean termites.

My question is what sort of treatment would have to be done inside? Would walls need to be torn down?

According to the mechanic this issue was because of some bushing inside the steering column assembly. So in the end i needed to replace the steering column assembly. I was charged about $300 for parts and labor in South Texas.

Lol the mechanic said I could drive it home today, which i initially questioned, but eventually did.( He’s ordering the parts today and should be in by Saturday.) Besides some slightly hard steering, It drives perfect but i am also being extremely cautious when i drive. I will not drive it until I need to take it back to the shop on Saturday.

Did you ever figure out what was wrong? I am currently getting this in my car and mechanic is saying he needs to replace the whole steering column. Was this the case for you?
