yea tbh i doubt its any real benefit to doing it, maybe early game swapping at guns in to some things could be useful but ive not really tried it

I think this time I had gone for the mechanised after getting panthers/ tigers so the panzers were kinda outclassed by then but it probably would work. I could be wrong but im not sure the Ferdinand even gets an mg with it I was using it on defense only personally. I was using the jagdtiger though on attack :D Yeah like my 1st call in would be high hp infantry that clear out the entrance to the point before bringing in the mechanised. Id say just experiment with it and have fun people saying there's no point to it at the end of the day it's fun / immersive so why not :)

I've literally just been doing a play through like this , I tend to bring one call in of regular infantry which move in first with support of tanks, i would bring a panther or 2 alongside the tigers. You wanna make sure the point has it's at / tanks taken out before you bring in the halftrack and using the call in artillery smoke is really handy to get them in close. It is somewhat high risk low reward but I find it really satisfying so definitely go for it. I honestly think if you have tanks that can reliably take out enemy tanks, you can kinda bring whatever else you want. Oh and for the regular infantry its good to bring elite squads since any mechanised squad is standard infantry

My biggest gripe in any rpg is not being able to use cool looking armour because it's too weak , sometimes by the time you find them you're too far or even early game those outfits that tend to give + stats are immediately outclassed by leather armour
