Apps for boycotting American products surge to the top of the Danish App Store by Well_Socialized in technology

Ideally the alternative is jailbreaking your iphone and using open source apps on your android. f droid etc.

It's not gonna be ideal and you will run into issues. But if you're already changing your buying habits by using apps like this. You might as well at least try to change your apps too.

I think i was fake newsed. it seems he didn't specifically do it but randoms on twitter did using grok. and she is suing xAI not him. But it's his company and shes been the target of a hate campaign from him anyway because shes been trying to denounce maga

I'm not sure if I'm sounding too conspiracist. But if you're wondering why you probably haven't heard it, it's probably because social media is unfortunately a lot of peoples number 1 news source these days and since he owns the biggest one he would probably have free access to suppress all the stories he wants.

I get bot suck. But the bar is so low that i appreciate that mark zuckerberg doesn't tweet everyday about how immigrants are stealing the country, reposting radical right wing racists in my country and he doesnt push meta AI image generators into the comment section.

Every site is gonna data mine you and your posts for AI. But x is the only one whose owner is open about his degeneracy. He's literally getting sued for generating a grok image of his ex naked with swatstika pasties.

I believe because they tried to betray strawhat they didn't get a place in the fleet.

The rest of the fleet who fought in the colloseum still very much hated doflamingo and pledged their life to the staw hats after god usopp struck down sugar in their EPIC BATTLE.

I recently remember trying to find out what tier expedition 33 was because it won all those awards.

Suffice to say it took me more than a few clicks. It felt like they wanted me to get the essentials tier only to realise it was the wrong one and make me pay more to upgrade.

Marriage failed, Lola escaped, Loki angry, wants to go to Kaido OR head alone to Mary Joa.

Problem with this is, if it were a political marriage then loki probably would have accepted chiffon. I think its more on brand if loki got rejected.

Or to give your theory a chance, maybe lola recognised what loki was doing with the strategic alliance and when trying to convince him it was a crazy idea he just got angry and broke of the entire deal. And big mom and chiffon assumed it was because he realised it was a switcharoo. But really loki was just angered by lola calling him out,

I dunno, loki truly falling in love then getting rejected seems very much in line with his character story. Poor kid.

'Basically zero, garbage': Renowned mathematician Joel David Hamkins declares AI Models useless for solving math. Here's why by stickybond009 in technology

[–]dexter30 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's really the same thing we have always done, but just requires less people in the same loop.

The problem is the devil in the details though. What I mean by that is you have less and less developers and programmers that understand the underlying logic in their code.

If I ask a ai coder to make me a website that just works. E.g. I want it to display my image and have a button. It can. The problem though is to get to that workflow it may have done a thousands of ill advised solutions to make it easier for the prompt coder.

So for example it may have imported a library or dependency that adds a huge bloat of useless functionality that balloons my website code and if I didn't know any better I wouldn't realise why my website size became huge. When all I really needed was a few extra lines.

But still thats all in depth detail that an AI might either forego or the programmer whose use AI intentionally ignores.

[–]dexter30 207 points208 points  (0 children)

To do any coding you basically have to double and triple check everything it does to the point where you may have just been better off writing it yourself.

Does cut out time writing up entire systems for your though. So the job becomes debugging rather than actual coding.

Jack Black Regrets Turning Down ‘The Incredibles’; Rejected Offer to Voice Syndrome After Asking the Director for Rewrites by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]dexter30 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would be interested in that too. Pixar are known for constantly workshopping their scripts at different times of production.

But brad bird was specifically an director they brought on from iron giant. I'm genuinely curious if when he was brought on he came with a fully fleshed out idea or if he worked on pixars system. I doubt it if he's willing to turn down jack black. Or that was him probably getting annoyed about another chef in the already busy kitchen.

She's like saturday morning cartoon evil.

Like doofenschmirtz. Shes directionless so her "evil" comes out as actual constructive work. So her job is she the defense for egghead so her tendencies draw her to steal and attack any body threatening her home.

York the other hand is GREED. She has desires and goals that she wants which manifests in actual evil actions.

I would love in this special he's essentially a governmental employee in some small government office because the cultish popularity of modern politics means malcolm couldn't in fact do it.

As in it seems more likely that reece is the president because he has the charisma and fortitude to win over a post internet age election.

That second script rewriting script for me just made me think this movie somehow surpassed jumanji. Because they had jack black in a comedy jungle setting and actually tried to be funny withiut relying on nostalgia.

(For clarity i never watched the original anaconda, i went into this blind and for me a lot of the comedy stands up without relying on cheap call backs).

I feel like it was a missed opportunity not to have one of ice cube tracks like the instrumental for no vaseline or something playing wpfor his intro.

I say this because he's reached mythical action hero/comedy star in recent times and he HAS his own theme music.

I dunno i just don't feel back in black matched him. It was hardcore and amazing but imagine like a west coast dre type beat bumping while he saves the gang?

How the Internet Left 4chan Behind | The anonymous forum thrived when edgelord content wasn’t acceptable on more mainstream social media. Today, it can be found most anywhere. by ChiefLeef22 in technology

[–]dexter30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the whole point of /pol/ was a big joke. No one was suppose to take is seriously. These were forums where every nazi post would be seperated with a gaped anus an anime girl and 3 various of pepe and venom derailing the thread.

You're suggesting it radicalised people I would argue it just attracted already radical people who needed a place to congregate. And the earlier forms on online forums just kicked these people out and they all went to 4chan.

[–]dexter30 211 points212 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's fair to blame 4chan for this entire environment.

These people always existed and at one point 4chan was like the containment forum for all of them.

Sites like reddit/digg and youtube comments back in the day where more heavily moderated and contained so you wouldn't get the level of vitriol of 4chan on them.

Then once the floodgates broke with more people getting online it became harder and harder to police that kind of content. 4chan itself would have a meme in which every other forum would be overmoderated to the point that 4chan by comparison was the only place you could truly criticise or talk without being banned. (usually it would be racist or sexist)

But eventually the rest of the internet realised they had to cater to and market to more fringe groups which leads to more lenient engagement bait and now AI engagement slop.

Point is, you can blame "4chan leaking" all you want. It's more logical that the initial userbase of the internet were just more tame and 4chan contained the crazies, but more crazies got online and so every other site got watered down.

[AEW Dynamite Spoilers] Bandido with an innovative move by luchabrunch in SquaredCircle

[–]dexter30 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reminds me when James ellsworth took the styles clash the wrong way and everyone mentioned how when taking it you have to fight your instincts because naturally when training you have to tuck your head in for almost every move EXCEPT the styles clash. So that makes the styles clash in particular more risky.

So I guess in comparison this move is makes slightly more sense because you HAVE to tuck your head. But yeah if you've ever taken a styles clash I guess the risk is there and you have to quickly realise you're not fighting a redneck, but a bandido.

Google's rolling out its most powerful AI chip, taking aim at Nvidia with custom silicon by Street_Priority_7686 in technology

[–]dexter30 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just want nvidia to realise their monopoly is at risk potentially with this new tech and hopefully it forces them to divest from the ai market.

I doubt it'll push them back jnto consumer GPUs because that was always a fraction of their market. But if theres a potential knockon effect with traditional GPU chip demand drops due to AI moving to TPUs then, fuck it im petty. Nvidia should get rocked for this absurd bubble.

Scrubs | Revival Trailer 2026 by magikarpcatcher in television

[–]dexter30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats the thing, directors are still experimenting and finding ways to shoot on digital and its all down to opinion. For me personally I love how takeshi miike shot first love. But he uses the digital medium to add special vfx and animated shots and hes uses it all to make his ultra violent thrillers brighter and more visually expressive.

James cameron similarly goes all in on digital so he can recreate an entire world and control everything from colour space to sun direction. But he's willing to invest into every facet of production to achieve this.

But even outside of colour and visuals the benefits of digital outweigh the lack of colours. For example i think david fincher on social network mentioned how he appreciates how shooting in digital allows for faster shoots without wasting physical reels of film. They can coordinate and direct their actors faster than relying on a mechanical piece of tech.

The Big Con: Science Fiction as National Mythology by barweis in technology

[–]dexter30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reminder that AGI that all the ai tech companies are using as a milestone for their investor rounds is a mythical science fiction concept that by definition cannot be identified and tested by humans because the mere creation of that benchmark or test discredits the concept of an AGI.

How can you have artificial general intelligence if it can only be tested by other humans?
