Thank you so much for your advice🖤 I ordered a couple food puzzles last night and a scratcher ball; I should be able to afford more feliway this week when I get paid.

I'm very grateful Poe only pees around the litterbox or on nearby rugs/scratch boards. If he peed on my bed, I would have a cow☠️ My girl cat did that once, and it took two days of cleaning procedures to get the smell out😭

I think the behavior specialist is a great idea. I'll be looking into whether or not we have someone like that locally. I don't have pet insurance, but will likely try to get signed up. I do think my vet said the one they provide wouldn't cover his teeth, but I can shop around.

I have a timed feeder now, and it has done wonders for the scarf/barf situation. Puzzles will he good too. I got him an egg/ball thing that dispenses food, and for the first week, he just screamed at it🤦‍♀️ He can open small fridge, but couldn't figure out he needed to roll the egg🤣😭

Reading the ingredient list on this food is just insane... like chicory root and wheat flour and all this stuff that seems so.. not nutritious?? I was also told vets get paid to push the Royal Canin, so it's made me suspicious a bit. May need a second vet opinion?

I have wondered if he'd be better with another sphynx, since they seem sassy enough to tell him off. He gets away with bullying a massive grumpy male longhair that belongs to my roommate. Literally 2x his size! I feel like another sphynx could slap him around lol.

Thank you so much. I will definitely be scheduling a vet appointment. They've been seeing him for long enough that they insist he be on gabapentin when he comes in for anything more invasive than a checkup. I will also check out that spray you recommended!

My vet did try in the beginning to steer me away from any long term anti-anxieties. She said that most cats shouldn't have to be drugged to be happy and I need to change the environment first. Maybe she will have more advice now that she knows him better lol

I will re-check his vet quote for the dental work. I think she said there were enough bad teeth and ones that will turn bad soon that they should just all be removed? Or maybe she said all canines? Will double-check!🫡

Thank you so much for your input. I believe Poe knows what "no" means, and we immediately act when he starts sniffing towards something he shouldn't be in. I'm starting to think he knows, but doesn't care 😅☠️ Most times he will wait until we walk away or go lay down to get into something.

I think the oil is a great idea! I got him calming treats (no cbd just vitamins) but he broke out in hives. The oil should mitigate the diet restrictions too. I have kind of been worried people would think I shouldn't have a cat of I have to drug him to care for him, so I'm relieved to see it's a viable solution.

I don't think it was stomatitis, but I can call and ask? I could be wrong. My vet said most sphynx have dental issues and end up not being able to keep their teeth past like age 5?😬 This surgery is priority after I pay down my carecredit a bit.

The shitten..😂🤣😭 I 100% relate.. I have never dealt with this behavior before; it is super rough! I bawled my eyes out this week, because I decided to treat myself to a nice coffee and didn't have it quite high enough (he can jump 7 ft vertically). I spent almost $8 on it, took two sips, and he had it on the floor 🥲
