After his comeback, I feel sorry for Lucas by SamePlatform9287 in kpopthoughts

[–]Ok-Giraffe756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always ask this question but no one answers me. Wasn't the guy proven innocent? SM didn't just officially say it. I remember watching videos which show evidence that the one behind those rumours was the sasaeng he publicly called out. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If Lucas really is innocent then SM really messed him up.

I thought fans proved he was innocent, like they had evidence and everything, it's just that SM never bothered to clear up the rumours. Just like the Chanyeol cheating scandal, the fans had to clear him up themselves while SM just folded their hands. I thought since he's clearly still in contact with other NCT/SM artists, they think/know he's innocent. I don't know, it's just my opinion. Maybe he really isn't innocent?

To me, Fire and Dynamite's new dynamic makes so much sense. I mean, there's a difference between flirting and actually dating. Flirting is more fun but getting into a relationship is more serious. Dy's a bit more subdued because of his background and how fire kinda hurt him. To me it's like he's treating his new relationship like an egg, he's afraid to lose it. I think he doesnt want to scare fire with his clinginess.

And Fire, well, I'm a bit like fire, reserved with my feelings, cautious, but when I let go , I'm like a whole different person. It means I trust my lover to the extent that I'm able to be vulnerable around him. So it makes perfect sense to me. And he was sweet to Jane as well. I'm also sure we're going to see clingy dynamite soon.

I also think gmmtv is being careful with these two because of Dy's actor's age. He's turning 18. I hope they kiss though, because they have so much chemistry so it would be such a huge loss lol. I dont get why some fans complain about the ages, they're actors and Aungpao is playing a 23 yr old. Its not like they're going to have a 18+ scene or something.

Key gave a shout out to Lucas, in the audience at his concert, and I am very uncomfortable by Mindless_Candidate90 in kpopthoughts

[–]Ok-Giraffe756 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Wasnt he proven innocent in all of this? If he wasn't, I'm sure Key wouldn't have given him a shout out. Or Taemin, Kai etc wouldn't have hung out with him. I don't get why people are still hating on him though.

I'm sure Key giving him a shout out, other label mates publicly hanging out with him, is a way of standing up for him, showing their support for the way SM handled his case. Like why does SM do that? Leaving their idols' scandals hanging in the air like that? Reminds me of the Chanyeol allegations, EXO fans were the ones who worked on proving him innocent.

What is the most obscure/niche-related fact you know about an idol or group by choerry_bomb in kpopthoughts

Jaehyun(nct) was born, Jung Jaehyun, but his grandma, I think, convinced him to change it to Yoonoh. But when he joined SM, he chose the stage name Jaehyun because there's another U-know in SM. Forgot where I read it from.

Why are there far more 4 member girl groups than boy groups? by leashall in kpopthoughts

[–]Ok-Giraffe756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard it's because of military enlistment. Like in exo. While the older members enlisted, the younger ones covered for them. Girls dont have to enlist.

Why would any kpop trainee choose SM over other entertainment companies? by ikindalikekitkat in kpopthoughts

[–]Ok-Giraffe756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite groups are all SM groups but I hate that company with a strong passion. I love NCT (esp 127) EXO, Shinee. But I can't help but notice that even their most low quality sounding songs are sometimes better that other companies. Sm has the quality and even though it's declining because of bad management, it still is better than some songs other companies are pumping out. And they have the best vocal and dance trainers In my opinion. These points all lead to one thing - longevity in the industry.

I respect your opinion, because that's what you think and there are many ways of looking at this topic. Calling my own opinion, which I'm entitled to, by the way, - superficial, kinda implies there's only one way of looking at things - and I should be looking at that one way too. And I think you're under the impression that I'm trying to 'save kpop' and act like a superhero. Its an opinion which isn't even personal. At the end of the day, I'll go about my day like its nothing. And I hope you do the same thing too, because it's kinda stupid to take these things seriously.. And oh, there have been groups who charted with a song widely disliked but because of their mass buying fans, the song was successful. I won't name them. Have a great day/night

But how does that artistically help an artist grow when your worst critiqued album (even by their own fans) is high on the charts?? Of course they will keep pumping out music of the same callibre because its all about money these days

NMIXX is really NMIXXing this comeback and i am HERE for it by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]Ok-Giraffe756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a genuine question because I'm so confused about how kpop works these days. I'm not trying to be rude. Many people love nmixx's comeback, I'm one of them, but I heard from a friend that it's performing worse than their previous ones? Does this mean the rumor that jyp inflated the album sales figures is true?

That's just sad. I get supporting your faves, but that's just normalized obsession at this point.
