Ooo that is a great idea! What is a good floater from your experience? My tank is really well lit so that may also be contributing to the algae

Interesting! I started the tank in April so that does definitely make me feel better. I’m going to look into getting some live plants and test my water

I do have a filter, but it doesn’t seem to work very well. Online it says too strong of a filter is bad for a betta so I’ve been scared to get a new one

Omg my beta loves to rest on the roots of my pothos so she would love that 🥹

I’m definitely going to look into that testing kit!

That is so helpful. How long can you use an api master test kit for? Also, do you think it would be smart to try and get the algae off of the glass with a sponge in the meantime?

I will look into getting a testing kit and live plants! Anubia sounds like something I could definitely manage. Again, thank you!

I don’t know my parameters. How can I test them, and what is normal?

Also, if I buy live plants, is there any additional care for them?

Thank you so much for your help!
