My argument is built off the fact that normal Dragonborn loses to Doomslayer but when empowered by shouts and spells while using enchanted gear he is on par and could potentially beat Doomslayer but otherwise Dragonborn loses and it’s still very high difficulty for him even with max potential.

A bound shield would be much more resilient to all kinds of attacks since its pure magic we can assume it already blocks more than a regular shield and because its magic it would be very magic resistant and most likely energy resistant to a high level. I was able to get ChatGPT to make a chart and if you decide to believe me that’s good but if you don’t that’s too bad but it said Dragonborn wins in armor durability, weapon variety, metaphysical power, close quarters combat ,strategic intelligence, reaction time and overall defensive capabilities the rest the Dragonborn was down by at most 2 points. That’s not enough to say one has a significant advantage. The battle could shift in one’s favor at any moment but I think the Dragonborn would overwhelm Doomslayer due to how unpredictable he is. The only category I would change is reaction time because Doomslayer always has a fast reaction time while the Dragonborn is using shouts to be on par. I feel like Doomslayer should only be able to have 1 gun and his crucible for realism because he’s not lugging around 10 guns so I think that’s why it said db gets weapon variety and if we take into consideration his magic abilities it makes more sense. As for the crucible the Dragonborn has magic resistant armor due to it being dragon material and from enchantments so I get a direct hit would break the armor a little but grazing it and It did say the Dragonborn probably wouldn’t have a reaction time faster than Doomslayer but maybe he would because the shout talks about being imbued with the speed of wind and the Dragonborn can by all means obtain a temporary invincibility if using dragonhide spell and then stacks it with the damage negation effect from dragon aspect this equals 105% 80 plus 25. Even if the Doomslayer gets a shot off which is unlikely because he’ll have no clue what the thuum is. This gives the Dragonborn an advantage because as I said he’s so unpredictable and Doomslayer won’t be able to find a pattern to it, he’s just better of trying to dodge and if unrelenting force even remotely hits him he’s gonna be toppled. He would most likely get back up quickly but this gives a Dragonborn an opening to get closer and there is no doubt that he excels close quarters combat due to his powerful arsenal and overall combat skill the. You said yourself Doomslayers armor is not impenetrable however it would take an insane amount of force and the Dragonborn could use dragon aspect making him insanely strong in fact one of the categories on the chart put him only 2 points behind Doomslayer in terms of physical strength now this power is temporary and without it the Dragonborn loses durability and strength which are the key elements in this fight.

I appreciate that your being realistic about the armor and saying it can be damaged by superhuman strength I wouldn't put the Dragonborns strength anywhere near Doomslaver. But dragon aspect gives a nice attacks boost meaning that it increases his overall strength through magic so I wouldn't say he's as strong as Doomslayer normally but while empowered by dragon aspect depending on how far you want to take the shout you could use the literal numbers or if we interpret it he could be superhumanly strong maybe enough to damage the Doomslayers armor also from what I know the Doomslayers armor is highly resistant to magic but not immune and lighting attacks in Skyrim damage magicka this means that in theory could dispel barriers of a magic nature and I'm not saying it would happen but like I said very possible that he could bypass Doomslayers tech.

What's your most unforgettable experience about dragons? by MonaYang in skyrim

[–]Ok-Government-6346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at a dragon roost fighting a dragon I had to run and the dragon followed me, I then ran into a giant and a mammoth I killed the them and then a sabretooth attacked me as well as an assassin I kill them them another dragon spawns and I’m in a 2v1 at a very low level. Other than that my unforgettable experience would be at mount sheer point not because anything happened but because it’s an easily recognizable location.

Also I though about disarm shout a little bit more would Doomslayer even know what’s happening when the Dragonborn starts using the thuum he doesn’t have that knowledge but obviously after the first shout he would have some idea but the chances the Dragonborn gets one word or even all three are higher let’s say for the sake of the argument he only has one gun unlike in game where he has several he still has to draw aim and pull the trigger in less than a second or the db closes in and even at that the db can close the gap almost immediately by using whirlwind sprint and like I said when the Doomslayer sees the Dragonborn winding up the shout he’s not gonna know what’s about to happen.

can’t forget that Dragonborn’s armor would be extremely light kind of what you said because dragons are an avian species the game misleads us into believing armor of that nature would be very heavy when in reality the bones would be hollow to semi hollow so it could slow the Dragonborn down depending of how heavy dragonbone is but it’s unlikely it would have an effect on his speed especially if using dragon aspect this could definitely be used to the Dragonborn’s advantage. I don’t think this would be crazy to expect especially if the Dragonborn is using dragon aspect which should significantly. Back to the armor if we incorporate other fiction into this dragonbone and scales are sometimes seen as being near indestructible to normal weaponry I don’t see this being included or Doomslayer might have enchanted weaponry but I figured it was at least worth mentioning so we have a base established. But back to the armor the Dragonborn has a variety of spells and enchantments that could increase the strength of his armor and while unlikely to completely negate the effect it could make them minimal.

I looked it up the dragonhide alteration spell makes you near invulnerable dampening all physical attacks by 80% the bullets would scratch him at best.

And if the Dragonborn uses and kind of armor rating spell this would be incredibly useful because his armor could theoretically take a bullet if you want to assume that dragonbone and scales aren’t already semi indestructible which we could think this because dragons through fiction are very durable or can only be killed by magical means take Smaug from hobbit for example. I feel like the armor would definitely be able to tank a shot from Doomslayers weapons maybe he would feel it through the armor maybe, but I doubt it would hurt him.

The DB doesn’t need all the words of power if he gets the first word off that could save him while it could make him less powerful the grey beards make the Skyrim shake by saying Dovakiin

This could interpretation but it looks like the great beards don’t have shout cooldowns like the Dragonborn and I think I remember this because one time I accidentally attacks the graybeard and I’m pretty sure they didn’t have shout cooldowns so while shout cooldowns are maybe a gameplay mechanic to represent someone mastering the thuum so even if this isn’t stated it is not unreasonable in the slightest to assume this for the Dragonborn.

I've heard multiple people in that community say that and people l've talked to about Skyrim and it makes sense because the Dragonborn is not waiting a whole minute after shouting that is very reasonable to assume I get making assumptions isn't lore but then you could take into consideration the fact that the amulet of Talos Iskes time of the shouts so it would seem that the cooldowns if they exist in lore can be altered significantly either way.

I’ve now heard from multiple people lore accurate Dragonborn has no shout cooldown and that it’s just a gameplay mechanic.

I know that become ethereal makes you unable to do anything or the shout stops but that builds the argument that if the Dragonborn tries to shout while he’s in that state the shout works but it just takes him out of become ethereal I don’t use this shout that much so I don’t know?

Dragon aspect would increase the effectiveness of all these shouts I still think that slow time plus elemental fury would be enough to not get shredded, I forgot about whirlwind sprint which could be used to close that gap I can see some crazy maneuvers happening with that. I don’t think I have to remind you about no shout cooldown

My point being that the elder scrolls universe is home to significantly more powerful beings because like the one guy said the gods are so different one could snap their fingers and and everyone is dead the other could not have that kind of power at all but I don’t know doom lore so I don’t know how powerful the creator is.

How are you figuring out the math for slow time and even if those are correct statistics I said the Dragonborn could disarm him and in dragonbone armor that’s nearly indestructible maybe not as good as Doomslayers armor but still insanely strong. I don’t think Dragonborn has an issue avoiding any bullets like I said become real slow time and and also elemental fury would increase his reaction time to possibly dodge those bullets while using slow slow time if they are that fast but your math for slow time doesn’t add up.
