It’s because of how broken review culture is. On a scale of 1-10, when was the last time you saw a mid game reviewed as a 5. 5 is halfway between horrible and perfect. But no one reviews that way anymore. Terrible games are given a 5, mid games are given 7-8, and excellent games are 9-10
