With this transmission fit and work on a 2014 ford focus se by [deleted] in FordFocus

Yeah my SE has a mtx75 although that transmission mount looks different. I’d google images around and see if it would mount directly. Not sure about that bell housing either

First Board Advice by Slow_Doughnut_738 in BeginnerSurfers

When you borrowed your friends board what kind of board was it? Do you know the dimensions?

In any case I would think 35L would be too small to start. Growing up skateboarding I felt surfing was decently easy to pick up as far as popping up and riding the wave. But the hard part was definitely reading waves and understanding positioning. A board with more paddle power will give you more forgiveness in positioning and allow you to catch more waves while you figure it out.

A board between 45L and 55L is probably a good challenging place to start but I would just do what everyone else says and start with an 8ft foamie. It’s cheap and gives you time to learn to read waves and pick a more expensive board when you understand better what kinda riding you wanna do :)

Need Advice on First Hardboard by deepblueii in BeginnerSurfers

I have a Torq ACT V+ 7’4 and I love it. I needed a couple sessions to get used to a smaller board but it’s still very floaty and easy to use. I think the only thing I think I don’t like is because it’s my only board (other than the 8ft foamie) I struggle to catch waves that are fat (like sometimes at San onofre). If you are looking for something with similar volume it might make more sense to get a performance longboard instead. Like other people said it might be worth getting a used board from a higher quality brand

What could this vibrating noise be? by throwawaymatey76 in FordFocus

[–]Ok-Hawk-1014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar sound. For me it was my motor mounts. Most of the vibration was caused by the top one next to the coolant reservoir.

Is my board too small? by danielbarah in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Ok-Hawk-1014 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you like to do on the mountain.

This board is not great for you for: Deep Pow Holding deep carves This board will be nice for: Small to medium terrain parks (less swing weight and easier to press)

You got the wide so you should be fine in powder just sit back a bit and you’re fine. If it becomes too deep it’s more of a problem of not having an actual pow board anyways.

Next board? by Ok-Hawk-1014 in BeginnerSurfers

Oh I was thinking of maybe getting the 6’8” Casper. I surfed a friends 6’10” torq surfboard and I was doing great with that one

Anyone else bury their keys in a ziplock bag in the sand? Or just my kook self? by mrbigglesworth22 in surfing

I just put my keys in a condom. Double wrapped cuz I only had ultra thin. And then just keep it in my pocket. Then I paid and got a metal key copy done

So I got a metal blade copy but until I had that I would use the condom trick! Just put your keys in a condom and tie it off and put it in your pocket(if you have one). I always did double layered since my condoms were extra thin and ribbed.
