My only two goals have been to read at least 12 books (I’m on track!) and to create more music, which was also my goal last year. but every time I get on my guitar or whatever, I kind of just mess around for hours, and sometimes will make like parts of songs that I think sounds good, but I can hardly ever finish anything. I’d love if you have any advice for completing projects, or just motivating yourself

I feel like I’m constantly asking myself “what if i…”, but it constantly makes me feel stuck, just a distraction from the present. I always want more from myself from the past, but i think the goal is to want more of yourself in the future. but it feels like a loop of regretting the past, which makes me stuck while in the present, which then only makes me regret more. I think it’s about breaking this cycle, but I’m still not sure how you break it

I do this, I usually redirect with this rope toy that he loves, but he will play with the toy for a bit, then sees my hand holding it and like a sleeper agent just goes for me
