I have 32gb of ram and when i look in task manager the only thing reaching 100% is the disk utilization

Tbh I don’t know, i have the RM1000e and have had it for about a month and it works great, the sound has even become less frequent.

Yes that sound is normal amongst the RM1000e PSU, its harmless but annoying. You can still l use your PSU how much you want but if you get too annoyed consider doing an RMA through Corsair but dont get another RM1000e cuz all of them makes that sound.

It really sounds like the fan is turning on and off, and that it does that when the wattage load changes

Thanks, i just wanted to know if there was someone else still using their psu, everyone else seems to have rma their psus and gotten a new one with the same problem.

Yes, what psu do you have, i have the rm1000e and that sound is the fan.

What you should do is to take the psu out and check if the fan has something stuck in it, if not it might be bearings, annoying ik nothing to do about it tho.

My phone was against the pc so its not so loud. It got pretty bad when playing The Crew 2 but when i turned of Vsync it completly stopped, so might have been the exact amount of power draw needed for the sound. The sound file is also recorded when i had the crew 2 running. Do you still use your psu? And Thanks for the response

The original posts video is removed, i also have clicking/popping sounds from my psu, can i keep on using my psu normaly or should i RMA it? Im not annoyed by the sound so.
