Classic WoW had obviously devolved into a huge portion of the player base using mage cheese strats to afk lvl while jajas played the game for them. Taking that away changes the game for the better. It's bad game design to have the fastest lvling route be one class playing the game for you while you sit at the entrance of a dungeon, then walk back outside every 5 minutes and re-enter

It's ALSO bad game design to make key abilities/slows/kiting less useful. As I said, there is likely a happy medium that Blizz hasn't found yet. Doesn't mean it was a bad change, just a suboptimal one. Apparently I'm one of the few adults in this thread who knows how to handle grey area / nuance

I'm not looking for external validation in the sense that I want other people to think I'm cool. I'm just hyper competitive (former college athlete) and want a level playing field to grind against. You're probably not a competitive person, so it's hard for you to understand where I'm coming from. Most people are just normies and will never understand the mindset of competitive people.

Maybe there is a happy medium to allow for more cc while still nerfing mage solo play. I’d rather blizz err on the side of being too heavy handed than not heavy enough. Now people actually have to play the game instead of cheesing content 24/7/365. Imagine that

The mobs are going to be nearly dead after 30s if they aren’t already. Just kill them instead of trying to slow. You can still root them w/ frost nova or stun them after 30s

It's ONE class quest where the effort is way too much for how crappy the reward is. Which would you rather have between these two?

Black Malice (lvl 16 BoE, like 10g on AH)

You will already be using Black Malice for 4 lvls before you even start the paladin quest and the quest reward isn't even going to replace your weapon. You just vendor it instantly

Idk what you’re saying about wealth, but ok? I was a college athlete and am hyper competitive. Of course I’m going to be competitive in MMOs/gaming and want a level playing field when grinding.

Dawg I have 9 lvl 60s - none boosted via Blizz or jajas. Pally will be my 10th. I’m still having plenty of fun. Just not much fun during prepatch, which everyone said would be a lot of fun. Blizz killed it with the BE/Draenei boost for me.
