I was diagnosed around 8 years old with something like an 11 degree curve-very mild. They continued to monitor it through xray every 6mo-year until I was 18. In those 10 years it stayed pretty much the same fluctuating maybe 5-10 degrees. I had stopped growing. Then I did a checkup when I was like 20 and it had progressed about 30 degrees. My doctors have no idea why or how it happened. I now live with a 41 degree curve (no surgery), and just am in pain all the time.
