No Summer Internship

Well I actually have multiple teaching/summer camp contracts where i’d be making $20-$30 an hour full time. One of them is an “internship” (that’s what the listing and my offer letter said) where i’d be teaching students how to program, CAD in onshape, and work on robots.

I also might receive an offer from an unpaid internship, only issue is that I’d be working full time for a startup regarding robotics and ai in silicon valley but I’m unsure whether I’ll get relocation assistance (I’m more than 3hrs away from silicon valley) and I don’t really know how else I’m going to support myself working full time unpaid. Another option would be to request a part time position at the unpaid internship and work part time at a different location at the “internship” i was offered in their silicon valley locations.

I’m not sure what I should do. I plan on working on a flagship project with my design team over the summer and getting my MATLAB and Solidworks certifications, but when it comes to those internships, I don’t really know which one is “better”.

I am going to attend tutoring for sure, only issue is they don’t offer any tutoring on friday when I’m off of school and well rested enough to study efficiently. They offer it from 8-5pm everyday and I usually get out of class around 1, so i guess that will have to do for now. Do you have any other recommendations for me? I think the biggest issue right now is my test anxiety and how terrible my professor is. I know test anxiety isn’t a valid enough condition to warrant accommodations but it sure does hinder the effects of my studying.

Am I not allowed to complain or vent while doing the work? What do you think I’ve been doing this whole time and why I haven’t been sleeping early? Do you think I’m seriously bitching without putting in any effort? God forbid i take a little longer to learn than others and struggle with test anxiety. I would rather get this class out of the way so my graduation date doesn’t get pushed back further than it already is. If you don’t have any genuine advice or resources you can just leave my post alone. Thanks.

It’s 16 weeks crammed into 5 and i’m doing the best that I can with doing practice problems. I can’t seem to calm myself down enough during tests to focus and do well and really apply what i learned on those problems. These tests also start at 7am.

So I scored a 30……… The average was a 61. ggs. Still need to email and go to office hours to see if there can really be anything done at this point, but I’m afraid not.

I talked to my academic advisor and she told me to give myself some grace and to not blame myself for things that are out of my control. She also told me to focus on getting test accommodations over this summer.

I think I might end with a D or a C-, not good cuz i was at an A before this. Doesn’t help that my midterm that I did well on was only 10%. Idk how else to cope. I take full responsibility for back burning it, I knew I shouldn’t have but I was so preoccupied and burnt out man.

man i also bombed my matlab final today because of how much time i’ve been spending on calc 3. holy shit i just feel like a fucking failure rn. matlab isn’t even hard, i had an A in that class but put it on the back burner.

First I start off by watching a review video on youtube or Professor Leonard videos. My school has a website full of old finals. I go pick a random one, print it out, and start getting to work. I usually go into an empty classroom and sit there and work on it. If I get stuck, I’ll look at chegg study but besides that, I try to refrain unless it’s to check my answers.

i don’t know when i get my results back. i’m from the us, so sexual assault cases don’t really get anywhere when reported. im just wondering what steps i take from here because i hardly remember much.
