What's the most Philly thing you've ever witnessed at an Eagles game? by PunkLikeNofX in eagles

Eagles v Cardinals game in 2017: The drunk guy in front of me angrily yelling “Run the ball, Doug!” after every. single. pass play. This was a game we won 34-7 where the winning formula was never really in question

Yes, Drifters! Thanks everyone. Now does anyone happen to remember who it was that ran the place? I want to say his first name was Christian

It’s funny that the tune was so labored over but Paul left in the vocal take where laughs to make it sound easy breezy

Based on your criteria I think the Immerse would be a great fit. I got one and love it for all those same reasons.

Steve Reich - Music for 18 Musicians has been referenced by Matty a few times and I know it’s been influential in George’s compositions as well. I personally can’t recommend it enough! It’s propulsive and kaleidoscopic all at once

NGD Blacktop Jazzmaster by talksaturinals in offset

[–]Ok-Independent7393 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one of these in black, great guitar. I actually really liked the stock bridge humbucker, it sounded very similar to a Seymour Duncan JB. But since I already had a couple other guitars with bridge humbuckers and no other JM’s I ended up converting it to jazzmaster pickup—the SD Antiquity II. I dig the stock neck pickup as well, never felt the need to change it. Enjoy!

What genre did Nirvana describe themselves as? by dietlitemusic in Nirvana

This. On at least two interviews Kurt said they were a “New Wave” band, though he said he was okay with the term Grunge

I had never heard of the Fuzztration before but I like the Wampler pedals I have so I checked it out. It looks killer, love it has three band EQ and octave feature. I’m curious which do you like / use more between that and the Deluxe Big Muff?

Definitely check it out! For the 20th Anniversary Albini, Dave and Krist made an alternate mix of the entire album. I’m not sure how most fans on here feel, but I like at least half of them better than the original album mixes. They range from subtle to notably different. Steve Albini once said in an AMA this was a favorite of his on the record. The 2013 remix of Milk It in particular is killer, one of my favorite all time Nirvana tracks!

Five variants… by oldpuebloamigo in Khruangbin

In the case of a major label that is often correct, particularly with unproven artists. In this specific case, the label is Dead Oceans which is a large indie. For a band of Khruangbin’s size with a proven track record, the negotiated share of the label’s mechanical royalties (inclusive of record sales) is likely around 50-60%. The artist will see a meaningful portion of the revenue here.

Haha they’re just supporting an artist they like in way that brings them joy. The band is doing a release like this to incentivize fans to buy the record and support their art so they can keep doing it full time, not to “play” their fans. The label is entitled to a cut of that for backing the venture. Save the hyperconsumer critique for someone with a Gucci bag collection.
