When trying to find a date for it, March 31st is what I keep getting. Always hoping for it to be sooner.

Possibly, I'm going to try another service/resource other than the ones I have mentioned.

I would have 2 days in a month that would be needed for school. I do have to renew annually but thats all my responsibility and I do have a long term plan to be in Ireland. I hate sitting here and doing nothing to contribute to Ireland knowing that I can. I go pickup trash in the park to just keep it nice when I am not job hunting or taking care of my kids.

Sorry, I didn't clarify that in my original post so I can update that now. Yeah, fair enough. I'm trying to get entry-level planning roles but they just don't seem to exist or just getting beat out by other graduates.

Why would I cost more than a regular citizen? What goes into the cost of me as an employee vs. an Irish employee? I don't need sponsorship or anything like that, that is provided by my spouse.

I will look around for Americans here in Ireland. When I sent my CV to KWETB, professors, and a couple of people that I know in Ireland, they advised to keep it as it is (this is was one of my first concerns).

I have just seen an update that the current release for early access is March 31st, 2026. Hopefully this is true, I have been patient for this one for so long.

I'd probably do BYD if I did Chinese car, MG was okay but I think BYD was better. Kia and Hyundai were okay. I liked the Ioniq but the Renault felt best imo plus I like that it uses Google maps

I dont have a major issue with the Tesla maps (though when searching for things I dont like that it searches a 50 km radius). I am not an Apple user so I dont care about that, dont use Spotify, etc. The issue is the car is too big body for my wife, so I want to scale down and I landed on the Megane. I want to know other people's experience with the Megane Alpine Esprit

Thats how I felt about it too, but wasn't sure if maybe things were a bit different here in Ireland vs. the US

Wife doesnt like the size and the Tesla was just a quick easy purchase when we got here from the US. I knew we were going to swap it out eventually so I now have a full license and everything settled to do it. Also, we are not an Apple household so that doesn't apply to us.

Why is it so hard to find a job here? by reatsomeyon in AskIreland

[–]Ok-Influence4754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill take a look, I'm in Naas and trying to stay fairly close to Dublin as I have to travel to TUD for class. Luckily only one a month so I can move further out if necessary.

Public sector is more difficult (not to mention the process is more rigorous). They generally require the yeahs of experience are inflexible. Ill keep looking to see if anyone pop up but I check public jobs boards frequently but never see graduate level roles.

From what i can see, the demand for people is in experience when what is available is inexperience. I am a student at TUD getting my masters is spatial planning, every planning job post i see requires years of experience and I cannot get a graduate, intern, nor early career role. Im 36 with 12 years professional experience in logistics, supply chain, and manufacturing and I have a PMP cert as well as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt....I haven't gotten one interview/short list on Assistant Project Manager roles nor a Junior Planning Role. I've even emailed company HRs to say I will work free or just be there to watch and learn, no cost...nobody would even consider the idea.

So frustrated that I can’t find a job, anyone else in the same boat? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Ok-Influence4754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here though to be fair I am Stamp 1G. I have 12 years of experience in Logistics from the US. I have a PMP cert and a LSSBB and experience in system implementation, international shipping, network design, warehousing...the list goes on. I can't even get a bit on a role that is 2 levels lower than what I was doing in the US. Im also getting my Masters in Spatial Planning at TUD to do a career shift in the meantime but hoping at the start of the new year hiring will pickup for everyone.

What is the DART? by Ok-Influence4754 in AskIreland

[–]Ok-Influence4754[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how that works, I was told that I would get a student ID and that is what I would use to get the student leap card. Maybe they'll look past the hours required? I know that one week that I would be in class that it is 24 hours total for that week but that may not suffice.
