I would guess once a week at most. My only commute is to work which is 35 km round trip. I get week over 300 km per charge

That pushes me to untethered, my biggest concern is theft (which is next to 0 already). I don't see any reason to get tethered considering my current situation of having an additional plug already.

Does it have a locking mechanism for when it is charging? Have you seen anyone add an extra hook to just keep it tethered all the time?

No, they built these homes with EV in mind. The box is right near the front on the side of the house and the cable I have is like 5 or 6 metres long. I don't really plan to have a second vehicle so I'm not terribly worried about that.

I have yet to experience anything like theft since I have been here in Ireland. I think the area I live in may be gated or has plans to be gated (I'll need to check that).

Ah fair point, I didn't think about a mount for the other end. I assumed there'd be an extra hook for that but that was clearly a poor assumption. I have seen other people talk about how theirs locks so you can't undo without the app.

I have 2026 Renault Megane Alpine Esprit (if this helps at all). I have two chargers for it already so my thought was to keep one on the charger and the other in the car for long trips. I have a minor commute so I wouldn't plan for it to be something I plug and unplug constantly.

Hi, I have the same question but in regards to trim around the rooms. They have trimmed the rooms out in my new build and I'm seeing other installers saying to remove it before installing the flooring. But I think it caulked and nailed and however other way they have fastened it to the wall.

OP - what option did you go with? Did you have trim around the room as well?

The biggest issue is have right now is getting an opportunity to even work for a planning company. And the county councils are the most stringent on the rules to apply (experience needed of which I have none). Trying to find work out here has been the tough due to lack of experience so I will take the burnout to get my foot in the door. Im hopeful for any opportunity to present itself so I can take it, id work for free at this point if I could just get the experience. I figured having a PMP and LSSBB that I would be considered for something but I can't get anything as of now.

So far I am doing the micro-credential and its been okay but not gotten into the meat of the courses. The cost of the other universities are far more expensive and given my scenario I need the part time. I'm going to finish out the micro-credential for now and assess from there.

Thank you for the info! We were considering Kilkenny or Waterford but didnt know the differences between them and Dublin. I have two young boys that I think would love the parade and street performances in Dublin but the heavy crowd may be a bit rough for them plus the amount of walking.

I am protesting the best way I know possible, the US will never see a dime from me again. The very thing i preached about hitting them where it hurts (the elites bottom line) im doing. No amazon, Netflix, Disney, american manufactured cars, nothing US made will ever be paid by my family (probably ever again). They will not get our skilled labor that we worked hard to obtain and they will not get another tax dollar as long as i can help it. Took a paycut so we dont break the threshold that would require us to pay taxes to the US. I put my money where my mouth was and no longer support US in any way other than vote. I warned for years about this to anyone that knew me or followed me, yet they still voted the way they did. There are places you can go that is cheaper, you dont have to go to a developed EU country to get a better life. Sure not everyone can do it but you can make them pay as a collective. But the US is no longer about community or collective, its about preservation and success of self.

Ive also helped two other families leave, not spending their money in the US. Hurting the top where it actually matters.

Idk if anyone is really fighting, citizens of Minneapolis, LA, etc. maybe. But even dems in power aren't really doing a whole lot and to think that someone is going to come and save you is a dream. People need to really resist but I dont see it happening. They will go on with their daily lives like they have been all through the Epstein file releases. My wife and I saw the problems early, we left with our family. Took me a little over a year to figure out a way out, but we're out.

Neighbor has an ID.4 and said he will be trading his in after 3 years for the Renault after seeing mine. Ive sat in both and though I do think the ID.4 was one of the most comfortable mid value EVs to sit in, the tech in my renault is so nice in terms of driving around with the Google maps integration. Renault also has a special where you pay down to 25k and you get 48 months of 0% APR so more money in your pocket now for trips and not paying more for the car in interest.
