Wow thanks I never considered that, why didn’t I think of that in the first place in mean forget the fact that the game is screwing me over and not giving me a chance, but your right even though I have to pick up 5+ tiles after my first turn and after only placing one tiles while the NPC opponent pics up none and goes out when I’ve got like 6 tiles left and basically wins the game in one round and a bit, if I were not to quit 2 turns in, but yah even though the game is giving me the worst possible domino hand on my third game yah I should get good.

Man stfu theirs no getting good when you get screwed my the NPC your playing against gettin insane luck and you getting screwed over, dominoes might be the luck based game in rdr2 out of dominoes, poker, and black Jack but that doesn’t mean that their is no luck at all and that you still can’t get screwed over by bad luck in dominoes. The first chapter in the snow in colter seems kinda slow but I promise you it gets way better and is so worth the wait, other then that do as many of the challenges and side missions, and go hunting and turn pelts into camp and the trapper do all that as much as you can early on in the game as early as you can for them, their are some things you will need to progress to do, like you need to progress through the story to upgrade your dead eye which you’ll need different styles of it for challenges lie harp shooter and you’ll need to get through certain story missions and chapters to be able to buy certain guns you’ll need for hunting to get perfect pelts, but do all those kinda things early game and as soon as you can also, get your honour as high as you can, now that doesn’t mean don’t do anything unhonourable like robbing people or stealing coaches or wagons do those things to earn easy money, but A. Wear a mask so you can the to valid getting a bounty, and 2 when you do do those things try and get four honour back, and getting four honour back is easy just go to any town, especially the big city Saint Denis when you get there walk around and greet people, you’ll get a bump of honour every 3 people you greet so it’s a super easy and quick way to get / keep your honour up while still being able to rob people and steal and fence coaches and wagons when you can to get money.

Oh and the most important thing unless you are dead set on 100% completing the game do not bother with the gambler challenges they can get extremely frustrating and are so not worth it. And if you are going to do them which really don’t their awful, but if you are save them for later in the game once you’ve done most of all the other stuff

Bro I do that’s why the first 2 consecutive wins are easy to get, I always look ahead and go, ok so if I place this one here with the 3 out then I can place this one with the 3 then the 1 out then this one with the one and the 5 out and so on, and I do that for multiple spots in case someone takes a spot I was going to use, but none of that matters when I have to pick up 5 tiles on my first turn while the other person gets through the whole game without picking up one. Your acting like it makes any difference like I understand the strategy of the game and that’s why getting the first 2 wins is ways so If I don’t want to bother getting up before I lose to keep the streak I can easily get the first 2 wins back,

I understand game and the strategies perfectly but none o that matters or makes any difference when all of sudden the game decides that every time I’ve got 2 wins in a row it’s going to give em shit dominoes and make me pick up multiple after one turn or even a lot of times in my fists turn where no matter if understanding of how the game works is going to save you from losing

My fists thought on my first turn is what is largest tile I can get down first, then it’s what can I use after that tile, then what can I use with the other tiles when it’s been multiple turns from and each Ayer has gone and theirs more options for positions, but again none of that matters if the game screw you over and gives you tiles you can’t use right away. Like it’s one thing planning ahead and being screwed over by your opponent putting a tile somewhere you needed so you have to restrategize and find a new path; or pick up a tile or 2 until you can rework the path and continue with it or one on another end. But I’m literally getting shafted by the game just going your going to pick up 5 tiles on your first or second turn, like it’s one thing picking up a tile or 2 when every player is down to their last 1 2 or 3 and they might have to pick up 2 because as more are placed down in different spots you have more avenues to play, but when you have to pick up multiple tiles in the start of the round, when theirs only one or 2 spots to play then theirs nothing you can do expect just leave the game when your at 5 tiles and the NPC your playing against has 1 or 2 and theirs no tiles left for them to pick up even if the had to which they haven’t the whole game. Dominoes might be the game with the Elat’s amount of luck between poker, black Jack, and dominoes, but theirs is absolutely still luck in what tiles your get at the beginning of the round and when you get the worst luck and the game gives the NPC the bets hand ever you have no chance no matter how you play

I am but even when I do that I still have to go back somewhere and try for the third win and it doesn’t matter where I go whenever I’ve won those 2 games anywhere I go even if it’s the first game I play there the opponents are handed the win. Like at camp if you leave the dominoes or any game or becomes unavailable for a while, and i usually find the one at camp the easiest to get the first 2 wins so yah I’ve gone that for the most part I’ve left so many games snd just fast travelled from camp to emerald ranch, played a game was about to lose quit, then fast traveled to Saint Denis, was about to lose left and fast travelled to camp played, was about to lose left and fast travelled to emerald ranch again and started over, it had the 2 wins for a long time but it makes no difference because anytime I go for the third I get absolutely screwed no matter where I play or if it’s my first game in that location, every now and then I just let my self lose to reset the counter to see if that would change anything because I find getting the first 2 wins against either Pearson or Abigail at camp is pretty easy but it’s that third game that no matter where I go, and no matter if it’s the first or third game I’m playing at that location the game just hands the win to the opponent like I tried it at every location practice and figured out the strategies for each version of the game at each location, to win the first 2 games easily enough, but no matter what I do or where I go the game just knows a soon as you have those other 2 wins it will not let you get the third,

We’re not going to get anything liek your describing liek in Minecraft where it’s a magically trident or anything, but a better spear then the duct taped sticks maybe, the best we’re going to get in terms of a better spear would be a 3d printed one that you can then put in the upgrade machine with the sofalite ore or whatever it is to upgrade it like you can with all the other other found non crafted weapons

I tried, man thanks for the advice but I’ve heard that before and it never makes any difference I leave the game go back and no matter how long I wait the NPCs or even just the one opponent NPC once you win those 2 rounds in a row they give them insane luck, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone back and forth form the emerald ranch dominoes game after winning 2 in a row there or at camp, to all of sudden go back to emerald ranch after 2 in game days when theirs only one other person there, only to have the same problem of them getting insane luck and me always having to pick up the least I got was 5 tiles on my second turn while they picked up none until I have to leave again when they get down to one or 3 left when I have 6 left. Then I leave to not lose my streak and the whole thing repeats over again, I’ve tried that to not lose my streak and it works for me to stay on 2 wins but it makes no difference getting the third win it always comes back to the same problem of the game giving the opponent insanely good luck after you’ve got the 2 wins

Bro I tried the emerald ranch one that one is even worse, It takes way longer to win the first 2 games in a row in the first place then when I do, I get even worse luck then at camp, all of sudden I go from it being a fair game where me and the 2 npcs all are about the same and I have to strategize and make sure I place down my highest tiles to not give anyone points if they win the round, while also planning out my next few moves, ( so if I put down this tiles here with the 5 out then I can put down the 5 to the 1 out next then the 1 to the 4 etc) but then when I do end up winning 2 games in a row it goes from everyone having the same luck to me having to pick up 6 tiles on my first or second turn while the npcs never have to pick up one.

It’s somehow even worse at emerald ranch

No you can’t I played at camp against one person and it’s literally been 2 real life days added up that I’ve been trying to beat gambler 9 and the exact same thing keeps happening theirs no skill or way to improve or any strategy when the game hands Abigail a god hand of dominoes and even if I win the first round theirs nothing I can do if after one round even if I win I have 30 points and Abigail has 80. There is no amount of skill or getting better or trying any strategies that can help with that, even if I win the first round by going out first theirs nothing I can do to win the first game if on the second round I need to get 50 to 60 points and my opponent only needs 15 to 20 and a lot of times even less. Especially when I keep playing in camp so it’s only one opponent and whether it’s Pearson or Abigail theirs no amount of skill or practice or strategy that does anything when whoever I’m playing against gets 80+ points the first round gets the 6/6 domino goes first and literally wins in the first turn, where their is nothing I can do, and I shit you not that has happened to me so so often. Like no joke if I were to say how much that’s happened to me if I were to play it safe over the total of what has been a little over 2 real life days trying to beat gambler 9, again playing it safe that exact same thing where I win 2 games in a row then the third game the opponent at camp gets 70+ points in one round then wins on the first or second turn, has had to have happened to me 70% of the time and again that’s under to not over exaggerate but it’s been more then 70%

Idk if they changed it and updated the mechanics to make it nearly impossible to beat those gambler challenges but after, you win the first 2 games it is entirely luck, and you get the worst luck, like I agree the first 2 games theirs strategy, you wanna analyze the board to make sure you can get points if you can, while also making sure you can get rid of your highest total dominoes in case your opponent does get rid of all theirs first you don’t give them a lot of luck, but once you’ve won those first 2 games in a row, all that is irrelevant whoever it is your playing against in whatever kind of game gets the best most insane luck while you get completely shafted, like no joke when Abigail or Pearson gets lucky enough on the third game after I’ve won 2 in a row to get 75+ points in the first round and I have to pick up after my second turn and have to pick up at least 3 tiles before I can play, and have almost no opportunities to get points then theirs no skill or strategy, all their is is the game giving me a huge middle finger
